Why it took three weeks to tell me I needed such an important procedure, I don't know. We made our MOHS surgery appointment with another Doctor.... and we will NOT BE BACK to the Sun Coast Skin Solution's office w/ Dr. Jennings in Punta Gorda. As I was undressing, Dr Hernandez came into the room and stated that his female assistant was needed in the room during the exam to take notes. He said, if I couldn't accept this, then I needed to find another Dermatology Doctor. I was stunned. This was the most unprofessional and callous treatment I ever encountered in all my 72 years of life. For over the past 50 plus years, I had 3 previous male dermatologist and each of them understood my self consciousness, that I wasn't comfortable with a female gawking my genitali, taking notes while the doctor did a visual exam. All my physicians, GP, Cardiologist, Orthopedic, etc, always respected my self consciousness and privac. That's what Good Doctors do. Not like some self indulgent hypocrite who doesn't consider his patients feelings... Dr. Manuel H Hernandez gets a ZERO for a rating!!!
