Phone rings and without even getting the chance to say 'hi' I get this woman on the phone who was either having a bad day or who as the manners of an alley cat. We shall refer to said employee as AC for alley cat. Here's how the call went- Me: he... AC: You make an order with uncle sams? Me: yeah AC: Well, we've got no spice burgers so what do u want? Me: Well, that's my gfs part of the order so I'll pass you over to her. AC: (tutting and sighing like I was ruining her life with the inconvenience of elongating the call for an extra 15seconds) Gf: hello Ac: We've got no spice burgers so what u do want? Gf: (clearly taken aback) Ehh, ok. Emm... Ac: Well, you may order something cause u did pay for it. Gf: ( jaw dropped to the floor) I'll have onion rings Ac: ok. Bye. That was it. Two of us staring at each other for about 20seconds in disbelief. I've never dealt with anyone with such rudeness over the phone from a take away or restaurant. The woman hadn't a morsel of upbringing on her. For that reason I'd never get food from there again. Our food came cold n my burger was horrible. Say i got something extra there. This is an iconic joint for wexford locals. I truly believe these guys were doing taco fries before the rest of the world 15 years ago. Unless I wasn't exposed to that culinary delight before! My personal favourite mix up of fries (which they are legends at) is the cheese bacon and taco fries. Not mince taco but just the sauce. It's surprisingly good. Try with a small cheeseburger. I am not joking- this combo is a result of years trying out the menu after numerous nights out. Brings back good memories for anyone going to discos in the 90s. Probably still a regular haunt for the current youngsters about town!
