Came here on a weeknight and service was quick, I waited a few seconds for my filet o fish & fries after submitting my mobile order. I like that the fries are light in colour and freshly made. I hate when the fries are dark brown or have been sitting in the warmer for a long time. There was plenty of seating and I grabbed a booth. Not my favorite McDonald's at all. I find the location awkward as it is too close to the exit from highway 1. It is only easy to access from 1 direction but not others. You will need to use Skeena and Hastings to get in or out if you're not coming in eastbound on Hastings. The parking lot is not that big as many spots are meant for curbside orders. The washroom is surprisingly decent and clean. Maybe it's the timing. There is sign on the wall saying there's a 20 minutes limit at the manager's discretion. Maybe that helps in keeping people out. The staff got my order wrong and didn't look happy when it was pointed out. If it wasn't because nothing much was opened on Christmas Day and my friends were meeting here for coffee, I wouldn't voluntarily come here or even suggest this place. read more

After my last 2 horrific visits to other Mcdonalds ( Tinseltown & Main Street @ Terminal ) this one was a pleasant surprise. While the other two were super dirty, and the food disgusting .. this one at 4 am had not one but two staff members cleaning away, and it wasn't even dirty. My food was checked for accuracy, and then corrected, before it was served. It didn't take long, and it was the tastiest, crisped to perfection sausage McMuffin ( with no cheese or egg ) I've ever had. The hashbrown was also fresh and crispy, and the service was pleasant. The other locations previously mentioned should definitely take note and take action. It's out of the way, but will probably return when in the area, and would definitely recommend. read more

As other Mc Donald, but at this one inside was a crow eating from the ketchup dispenser, on top of the napkins and drinking from the beverages dispenser. I don't see they understand how much dirty stuff and bacterias this bird could carry and pass to customers. It is harmful for humans because the bird could carry diseases, not hygienic at all. read more

This McD has improved compared to 10 years ago. It is a slightly cleaner than before but the washroom is still pretty scary. I try to avoid going to the washroom here at all times. I've gone through the drive thru at this location a couple times for breakfast on my way to the job site. The food is consistent, but on the first occasion they didn't put the salsa packages in the bag for my breakfast burritos. Not a huge deal for me personally as I'm not going to squeeze the salsa onto the burritos while driving anyway, but if the burritos come with salsa they should really be in there. The staff attending the windows seem to only interact with you in the bare minimum manner. state the total and extend the payment terminal out to you. The person at the first window lady at the second window simply tossed me my bag of food and neither person acknowledged my "hello", "thank you", or other pleasantries. read more

Oh sweet, this McDs is open 24h! The parking lot here is quite huge, so unless it's PNE season, I'm sure you won't have a problem. This location has a ton of seating, including an upstairs area (it's closed at night). I'd imagine you'd have a great view of the mountains from there. The other thing worth mentioning is that they have tables with these weird cushy seats near the counters. Not sure what the intention of these things are (maybe to give more of a cafe feel?) but they looked really out of place. In any case, my McNuggets and fries tasted good. read more

This McDonald's never makes the food fresh. They ignore the timers in the machines that tell them when to throw food away and make fresh. The food as always cold and stale here. The management takes no responsibility for this. This has been going on at this location for years and years. Even now I asked them to make my food fresh and they gave me cold food. Now it's taken 15 min and I'm still waiting for my food. The food only take 3 minutes to make fresh but I'm still waiting. My food eventually arrived without straw or napkins. This location needs a revamp on the policies from corporate. I've worked in a McDonald's before and this is not the standard. read more

This location is kind of dirty. Plus, a warm place for the homeless people to hang out to stay warm. Staff should do rounds cleaning the dining section more often. They did not look like they wanted to be there on Christmas Day. My McFlurry was poorly mixed. As far as McDonald's goes this one has modern updates and free wi-fi. It seems to be missing the McD's value menu, or maybe system wide they have removed it as they don't have it posted here....so no McGangbang if you were trying to make it here. I will say that this place could be an alternative place to study besides Starbucks or cafe because of the free Wi-fi and cheap $1 drink promotion this summer-but then, who study's during summer unless you're stuck in summer school :( read more

You can't miss it if your on Hastings and Cassiar, and it's an odd one as if you are on Hastings you have to be going Eastbound to enter the parking lot. This place has gone through some facelifts, having a big play area for the kids, and now it just seems like it's a hangout zone like a Tim Hortons, and rightfully so... there is wi-fi here! The last time I came here I remember they shut down the upstairs portion due to the time of day???? OK, sure, keep the area small since staff levels are low at night. If you just want to pick up and go... they run a drive-through that wraps around the building, kinda making it easier to just stop your car, get out.. and go order.. unless you are in your pajamas.. and can't bear for anyone else to see you, and you like to stay hidden. Just like all McD's... now it's more self serve than anything else... all condiments and soda drinks are on the side for you to grab (just don't stuff you pockets and supply your house with the stuff). The menu is pretty standard, whether day or night.. it's McDonald's.. your getting your mystery Mcnuggets, Big Mac... Quarter Pounder (you keep eating this stuff... a quarter of a pound is what you will start to gain) signature non-decaying fries.... orange drink.... all the goodness you love in this place. I have also come here for ice to fill my ice box.. please donate.. as that's the deal with them.. but it's way more worth it.. as you can come any time of the day to get this done. And the garbage is consistently overflowing and customers then leave their garbage on the tables because it won't fit in the trash. This used to be one of the best locations to visit, now I think it's one of the worst. They close the drivethru on Thursday's and Friday's in the morning to receive their order, forgetting that payday is Friday and morning is high traffic time for customers to come through. Today, I went in to receive my order paid at a Kiosk. Waited for my order, understanding that there was some confusion on food prep and items taken. Then, when the order processor requested another 2 sandwiches to fulfill my order, they ended up in an argument over what was required. Another 5 mins went by (now been waiting 10-15 mins) and she then asked again for the status of the 2/3 sandwiches to which the food prepper said, no, she already gave it. I had to tell them to make the damn sandwiches cause I was going to be late for work. To make matters worse, no one was wearing hair nets and I've spent most of the morning sick probably because of the poor food prep. So not happy with this location anymore! read more

Worst McDonalds ever. You'd think they'd try to keep up with at least mediocre food quality at night, what with large 24/7 businesses nearby employing hungry people, but NOPE. Fries. Meant to be hot. Not hot like cold-in-the middle-and-too-hard-to-bite-hot (as in 2 hour old fries dropped in the fryer for a minute to warm them up), but as in FRESH, HOT fries. Poutine...the cheese on top is supposed to melt, not still be cold. So again, FRESH HOT fries and hot gravy will accomplish this. FAIL FAIL FAIL, every time. This is seriously the worst McDonalds that has ever existed. Sometimes I think they are playing a joke on me, but I think they are actually just that slow. If you come here after dark, put aside about 20-30 minutes to receive your food. That's not counting the time you wait to actually order. Especially if there are other people waiting. I've seen lineups disappear at this place around 2am because people just got so sick of waiting. Anyone in the drive thru automatically gets priority over walk-ins at this time I guess. I've also been annoyed a bunch of times when ordering a burger with no meat, since there is no veggie burger, and have seen the snotty teens in the back snickering at my order and actually making fun of it to each other at a volume I can hear. I'm almost ashamed to be admitting that I eat here, but I'm going to be honest with you guys; when I've had a long night out at the bar and I'm hella drunk I stop here on the way home to get my greasy fix. This is probably the worst McDonald's location ever. Recently they have gotten a bit better (new management perhaps?) but over the past few years I would have to say I am disappointed 99% of the time I order anything from here. I have learned the check my order before leaving because it is almost always wrong. There are a lot of high school kids that work here and they are always fooling around or standing there talking to each other, meanwhile I'm the only customer in line and I've been waiting fifteen minutes for my order. And being at a major intersection and above the Cassiar Connection, you can only enter here fr the west or turning left onto Hastings fr the North Shore, really big parking lot. read more

This McDonalds, while in a great convenient location, open 24 hours and having a playland for kids, has consistently delivered the worst service I have ever encounter at a MdDonalds. The service starts with the management, and they leave a lot to be desired. The service is pretty bad during the day, but it sinks to a whole new level of incompetency after 9pm. The drive through workers are in stressful situations as they don not speak english well, and seem to understand it even less. The management at night, managers and supervisors, I have actually seen tapping away on cell phones behind the counter. Food is average, but they forget everything. Straws, condiments, napkins. I often pass by here and its about a 50/50 chance of getting what I ordered and this is if I only place 1 order, when there's 4-5 orders its about 100% chance of not getting all the order or just not what we order. Would HIGHLY reccomand anyone going to the drive through to check your order while you still there because it a hassle to drive back just for that. read more

Ask anyone who's been to the drive-thru about their experience with the big black girl that works the window. SHE NEEDS TO GET FIRED! Maybe then the place will be at least decent for a Mcd's. This girl literally tells you to park and wait for the order when she's too lazy to do it. Then literally make you wait 30 minutes and come in to yell at her coworkers for her laziness. Ask anyone, they'll have a similar story. The ownership/management is clearly cheap as f*ck, always understaffed and they can't even make a proper reserved drive thru parking because they think using up every bit of space for normal parking will give them more customers and money but it really just makes the already congested drive-thru lane more stupidly tight. Rude, and inefficient was my most recent experience with this place. After being made to wait a sizable period of time, a tall, unadressive employee comes and takes my order. Another 5 minutes goes by and I walk out with my meal. Everything, except the coffee was COLD and the hashbrowns felt old. Food was great. Service lacked. This morning I dropped in for a bit of sustenance prior to giving blood downtown in about 2 hours. The two counter staff were chatting away when I arrived and parted when I approached. I ordered the hot cakes and sausage, hashbown and a coffee. When asked if I wanted a medium coffee I countered with the request to see the cup sizes. She lazily pointed behind her to the horizontal, poked in the wall cups to which I then again had to ask to see them as they were unviewable as they were. She responded as if I'd asked something irrational but complied (yeah a small would work please). Finishing the transaction, she promptly took my cash, gave change and hen pushed the tray aside without another word. Maybe 5 minutes later the food arrived. With tray in hand I sought a place to seat and avoided the scruffy passed out man. Food was edible but not particularly memorable. Oh well read more
