Left a review for this place two years ago and if anything, the food has just gotten worse since the remodel. Firstly, they make you pull forward and wait for EVERYTHING. You could order a plain burger and still have to pull forward and wait 5 minutes. Secondly, the food is almost always wrong. I can't even describe the amount of times I've gotten home and been missing an item from my order, had the wrong toppings, or didn't get sauce that I asked for. When I'm paying $10 for garbage food, I better at the very least get what I ordered. I ordered a Big Mac today and everything was in my bag - but when I opened the Big Mac box I was greeted with a horrid smell. I noticed some crispy grease (I think?) on the bottom patty so I flipped it over to see what it was. It looks like something was burned and smashed into the bottom patty (which wasn't completely done either). Absolutely disgusting. If I had the ability, I'd sue the sh*t out of this place because whatever is on my sandwich is a health hazard. I've always been forgiving of missing items, but this is utterly unacceptable. This location should be closed because clearly the employees/management don't care at all. I will never eat here again and you shouldn't either. read more

I ordered my food at 10:32 they still didn't have any of it ready by 10:52. After asking for a refund they didn't even refund the full amount. Worst experience I ever had anywhere. The managers don't communicate with each other so no one knows what's going on. I watched about 4 People order after me and get their food right away. Went and ordered 2 quarter pounders with cheese, had to wait since they were grilling the meat which is no problem, but once we got them and were about 2 miles away we decide to start eating them the one was still not cooked all the way when we got to the middle. I would of rather waited longer and got a cooked meal. We threw them both out, what a waste of money. I will never go there again. I called and complained they said come back in and we will get 2 new ones, I said NO why would I go back a second time for a bad meal. read more

This is the worst McDonald's around. They make you pull forward and park for just a soda. The orders are never right and half the time they accidentally give your food away to another customer. I understand they are try to keep drive through times down but it doesn't count when they just have you pull up and park for 15- 20 minutes. It's not fast. Just drive a mile and half down the road to the next McDonald's and order there. read more

This has probably been my worst experience with McDonald's. First off they fucked up the order. Secondly the staff is fucking rude .

It's McDonalds. Today they were faster than normal and got my order right. Normally they have issues at this location with accuracy. The woman at the drive-thru was wiping the cups off before handing them through the window...which was nice. Usually we get our soda with Coke running down the side. Good job....Today! read more

I like this one! The employee's are nice, so the service is outstanding, I have nothing bad to say about this store. Now the store in front of Portage Walmart...whew, that's bad! Don't ask for a drink with light ice at the drive thru! If you have to go to this McDonald's and get a drink and want light ice you MUST go in and get it yourself. Even if you sak, "Is that with light ice?", they will look you right in the eye and said "YES IT IS LIGHT ICE." knowing they filled the cup FULL of ice. This was the best McDonald's in the Portage area until they remodeled it. And I'm not talking about the removal of the play area for the kids either like so many others have complained about. The quality of the food as gone down, the service sucks, and the prices have gone up. A trip through the drive thru on the way to work used to be part of the morning ritual: get a number 3 breakfast and go. Now the breakfast sandwiches are stale from sitting under the heat lamp. The biscuits are hard as a rock when they formerly weren't. And if the service wasn't slow enough, whoever was working the drive thru this morning parked me at one of the two drive up lanes with a cursory "please wait one moment" and bypassed me by just taking orders from vehicles in the adjacent drive up lane. One lane was always sufficient before the remodel and now they've made it less efficient and slower. Fast food is an unhealthy habit anyway. This business makes it easy to break a bad habit. I'm giving 2 stars instead of 1 because it's fast food so we already know it's full of salt grease and sugar. The extra star is because it is easy to not go there and easy to leave. I've eaten in places that served equally bad food but I was thrown in them and compelled by law enforcement officers to stay. read more

I ordered a Big Mac meal-no special order, a dbl quarter pounder meal-no special order, a two cheeseburger meal-no special order and two frappes. The frappes machine was of course broken, okay it happens. Two iced coffees will suffice. I got a flipping happy meal and apple pie in my COVID special bag. Drove back to get the order replaced and they made a big deal out of it and hung up on me after I replaced my order. Great service Here's to deserving $15 an hour min wage. I've been sitting here for near 15 minutes and still no order has been brought out. I will never come back here. Horrible drive thru. The person taking order was very rude, ordered from any 2 for $3 and was trying to charge me full price. Then was asked to pull forward at the next window. I generally love McDonald's, especially this one, however, I usually go through the drive thru in the morning. The day crew is fabulous, fast and efficient. Not so much for the evening employees. Four of them stood there looking at us, never said a word. We waited for a few minutes, and I said, " this certainly is not like day crew." Stood in line girl took my order Large Sweet Tea and Large Fry it took 12 minutes for my to get handed a bag of cold fries returned them for a fresh large fry took another ten minutes to get those and the crew worker was rude and was making comments about how I return the cold fries and have to wait she rolled her eyes. I have lived by this McDonald's for two years now and the business has not changed whatsoever. There is always a line wrapped around the building and it takes at least 15- 20 minutes to even get to the first window. After waiting a long time, you would think they would be nice and apologize for the wait. No, instead they rarely say hi to you and will ask for your payment and that's it. The second window, they will just hand the food to you and shut the window. AND THAT IS IF THEY DON'T PULL YOU FORWARD! That's the other problem! Even if there's no wait, nobody else behind you in the drive thru, they will pull you up so that it doesn't show how long they take with keeping you on the timer. Then, they tend to still take forever to bring you your food! Today, I had to wait at least 25 minutes. I had two people behind me and we all got pulled up right away.. I ordered two sandwiches and two drinks and yet the other orders came out before ours. There was no sincere apology. They know they're just trying to beat the timer which is garbage. They care more about that damn timer than they do about their customers. Even someone who ordered two shakes and that's it, they got pulled up. I am so fed up. I live two minutes away from this McDonald's and now I will gladly make the drive to the portage location.
