Awesome new McDonalds just fully refurbished over Covid times. It's a McDonalds with fast drive through. But the best part of this place is the plane spotting terrace right next to the runway!!! If you like planes, this is the place or just a nice place to have lunch outside! I'll try to return soon and get pictures of the plane spotting area but maybe there are some already here. read more

I am not a McDonalds fan so why the 4 stars? It is in the Netherlands. After eating food not fixed they way you thought it would be for two weeks it is a treat to have a hamburger fixed the way you want. Big difference from the US to the Netherlands. In the US when you get your burger it really does not look like the picture on the menu. In the Netherlands it looks exactly like the picture and maybe better. Some of the minuses is you will not usually get much ice as in Europe everyone is volume conscious and ice takes up volume. Also catsup...you will get one pack for your fries. If you want more it comes at a price. I encourage everyone to give them a try as you consistently get what you order whether in the US or in Europe. This place has a nice playground, a charge station for your electric car and is next to the airport so you can watch planes take off and land. Another plus is you can get a hamburger in the morning, early in the morning, anytime you want a hamburger. Yea. read more

If you like McDonald's and you like planes landing, then this is the place for you. For a McDonald's it's pretty average food-wise. Their ordering kiosks when you come in make it very quick and efficient to get your food. After ordering it took only a few minutes for the food to arrive at our table. In this way it feels a little bit classy because they bring the food to you instead of making you wait with a bunch of strangers for your number to be called. The only bad thing is you have to pick a section to sit in before you can order your food, which is before you walk into the restaurant. It's hard to tell sometimes where there is a free place when you're standing at the front of the restaurant and can't see much beyond the seat dividers and the restaurant is pretty full. If you sit at the windows in the back or on the outside patio, you can get a good view of planes landing on one of the runways at Schiphol. This is great fun for kids, or adult kids. There is also a climbing/slidey play structure for little kids, which they love. The only downside I experienced with this was that after my 3-year old drank a milkshake and played in there for 45 minutes, she puked the entire milkeshake up again in the car when arrived at home. This McDonald's gets a higher rating than average because of the self ordering systems that they have. You get your order extremely fast! I ordered at the machine and before I walked to the counter it was already there waiting for me! Also there is extensive outside seating where you can watch the planes taking off and landing at Schiphol. read more

Just a normal McDonald's in a very nice and clean airport full of really tall Dutch people. The 1955 is here, which was OK never tried it before. This McDonalds gets really packed with long lines. Pro-tip: If you have a credit card, use the self-order machines to the left for faster service. It may look like there's only two, but if you go behind there are 2 more. You can order much, much faster this way. I reckon the lines are for people with cash only. read more

Better than average mcdonalds. Fries were great but a bit too salty, burgers are fine. Order stations make ordering fast.

It's McDonald's. They are no different than any of the others you may visit, except this one is conveniently located right next to all the hotels alongside Schiphol Airport in Amsterdam and is open 24/7. You would be amazed at the people you can meet in there in the wee hours of the morning. read more
