The American in me really likes the place, my British colleagues in the back of my head would be…read moretelling me it is like an airport lounge, not a proper pub. Compared to a lot of the pubs I frequent, this one is quite large and open, but it is also a brewery. When you walk in, there are some couches against the wall, but the centre is just open, no tables, no chairs, just a lot of floor space. There is also a second floor that overlooks the floor space... and the bar.
I wanted to try a couple of their brews, so I had a half pint of the Bishop's Farewell... mostly because of the fantastic name. Didn't enjoy it. On my second go, had a half pint of the Citra, still a lighter beer, but had a slight finish of citrus which was refreshing and helped curb the bitterness. Eventually there was some music in the background, but overall it was a nice place to get a drink.
