So, upon walking in, I noticed a glaring resemblance to the U.S. chain Johnny Rockets-- retro décor abounding, including a juke box and many 50s style posters adorning the walls. For burgers, the smallest size available is a 6 oz. burger which is already bigger than a McDonald's Quarter Pounder. I'm not entirely sure why they offer patty combinations up to 24 oz., but I suppose if you can dream it, you can achieve it. They're also quite expensive with the 6 oz. being £10.99 and you have to order the chips & drink separately. I was disappointed to realise the burgers don't come with cheese. The burger was quite good, thankfully. Service was almost non-existent after the food arrived, and no one came to check on us whilst we ate. Overall, the experience was just OK-- not sure if we would make a big effort to return when we can get better value elsewhere.

The pub also has a Premier Inn, which is literally next door. So if you fancy a late night out, you can stay overnight, and go home the next day. I do love me some Burger King from time-to-time, glad I can get my fast food fix and know it will be consistently tasty. Only ketchup and mayonnaise are free, but at least you can drown your food with unlimited Coke!

So......how do I distinguish one Mc D from another well, this one seems to have a pretty bright and cheerful crew behind the counter and it is probably the only McDonald's I have used where they get the order right first time and can accept demands like 'no bread' without laughing, asking if that means no pickles or running for a manager. It has a crazy car park though.

Was offered a free muffin at first which I declined (and asked for a refund). A minute later, someone came out with 2 lots of porridge (done on the stove). Turned down the second porridge (why would I want two lots of porridge?) and went on my way. Also WiFi wasn't working. Always seem to run into problems at this branch (incorrect orders etc). The one in Birstall is much better.
