Haven't been to a McDonald's in a while but got excited to be getting my son a Halloween bucket! So upsetting because I didn't look in it until we got home. There was no toy or apple slices that he loves. And hardly any fries. Make sure to check before heading home because I'm extremely disappointed to be paying for something I didn't get and don't want to have to leave the house again because my son is hungry and wanted food now. Horrible in every way. Waited for over 30 minutes as if at a real restaurant, nothing "fast" about that. Worker caught an attitude when questioned about the wait. I understand we're still letting this Covid thing run our lives but being as I work for one of the worlds largest retailer, my company has no problem making sure we adhere to a set schedule! Even if it's abbreviated hours! So why is this McDonald's posting their schedule as being open at 4:30 am, both on the website & on Yelp, yet it's 6:10 am, I've been sitting at the drive through speaker for 30 minutes & haven't heard a soul try to help me?! THE worst McD's I've ever been to. We stopped by for a latté and 25 minutes after ordering, we're STILL waiting on said latté! While we're waiting, we get to observe what has to be the most unorganized food prep area in the state. There's an african-american woman running round barking indecipherable words to co-workers with her mouth full of food, there's numbers being barked out from the counter for completed orders, there's trash all over the floor and tables that need to be steam cleaned. Wife goes to the coffee part of the counter and they're trying to figure out how to make a hot latté! My husband and I stood at the front, waiting to order while 2 employees were having it out in the front. Finally we ordered two cheeseburgers, a fruit a yogurt parfait, and a medium latte. Sloppy girl behind the counter throws the food up and yells our number. I told her we were missing the coffee and the parfait. She throws up four more orders before she begins to make me an ice coffee, when my husband corrects her and tells her it's supposed to be a hot latte... she dumps the cup and puts it back on the stack of new cups. My husband told her she needed to throw the cup out because it was used and she pulled it back off the stack and threw it up on the counter top. She makes my coffee and slams it down in front of us. We just stood there because I'm still missing my food (parfait). A few more minutes paas and numerous orders come out... the entire staff has looked at us at least once. Came through the drive through line twice in 2 weeks. The first time was around 4:00am on Friday June 16. The girl at the window said that she was the only person working and that I would have to wait 40 minutes to get a sausage biscuit. I came on Thursday June 29 around 5:00am, was in the main drive through line. People were being helped for 3 cars in a row on the 2nd drive through line, so I moved to the 2nd line and was told "I'll be right with you". People were being helped in the 1st drive through line car after car after car, so again I had to drive off without getting my order. The people working at this McDonald's need to go to customer service school to learn how to work at a fast food business and how to treat their customers. The customers are keeping these people employed. I will not be back to Port Lavaca McDonald's ever again. read more
