The inside has been renovated pretty recently, and it is a small and quaint shop. The staff is always nice, and everything is priced at an affordable level. I usually come here for lunch. When you order a sandwich, you also get chips, as well. I also like to try their soup of the days, and my favorite is the cream of broccoli. Their cookies are my favorite thing they have to offer. I believe it is their specialty. They are really consistent, made fresh, and soft in the inside. I have tried almost every single flavor and each one has been good. I have also tried their cà phê sữa đá (Vietnamese coffee with condensed milk) a few times, and personally it is not my favorite. It is very dark even with the condensed milk, and I feel like there is something missing. I have had better cà phê sữa đá and prefer the ones my aunt makes at home more. Overall, Golden Croissant is a cute place to grab a small lunch. I think it is one of my favorite places in this small town and has a lot to offer for a good price. She and her staff are very knowledgeable about the product they offer. I ordered an Americano while Mom had their Pumpkin Spice Chai latte. Both were delicious! Janna came over several times to make sure we were having a great visit. She even offered several suggestions for stuff to do while in town. We will definitely take her up on what was suggested. I made a bee-line for the bathroom only to be stopped by the words of a friendly barista, "Hi! Welcome to Starbucks - how may I help you today?! (with big smile)" Awkwardly, I let her know that I promised to order after a visit to the Whiz Palace. I was able to order both a drink and a snack, and since I had a Star Reward, she even encouraged me to size up my drink - this was so nice! Most baristas don't do this at other Starbucks that I've patronized. It's always a nice feeling when someone is looking out for you or in this case, giving you the most bang for your buck!
