Great Staff, But Check the App First! ​This review is for the McDonald's located on Parrish Avenue in Owensboro Kentucky. Overall, this location is excellent and usually my first choice when I need a quick meal on the go when hitting the highway to Elizabethtown. ​The Positives (5-Star Worthy): ​Speed and Efficiency: The drive-thru line, even during peak breakfast rush, and moves considerably fast. The staff here has clearly mastered high-volume order fulfillment. I've never waited more than 5 minutes from the order speaker to the window, which is actually impressive. ​Order Accuracy: My orders are almost always correct, which is a big win for McDonald's. When I get on the road, I never find myself missing a sauce or having the wrong customization on a burger. ​Customer Service: The cashiers, take out employees, and thevwindow staff are consistently friendly, polite, and attentive. They manage the rush with great attitudes, which genuinely makes the experience better. The food is always fresh and hot, suggesting excellent kitchen management. ℹ ​The Deduction (The One-Star Flaw): ​I have to dock one star because of the persistent issue with menu item availability, which is particularly frustrating for items often advertised or featured. It seems like often times when I visit, especially in the morning, they are out of lemons, pies, key ingredients or popular limited-time offerings. For example, my last three evening visits, they were out of the new strawberry and creme pies, and before that, they were frequently out of the lemons for my sweet tea. ​It's understandable that demand is high, but the frequency of these stock-outs feels higher here than at other nearby locations. While the food I can order is great, having to substitute often is a minor annoyance that prevents a perfect score. ​Bottom Line: This is a great McDonald's--fast, friendly, and accurate. Just be prepared with a backup order, especially if you're craving a trendy item or a dessert later in the day! read more

I've been going to McDonald's for at least sixty years. Overall, I've enjoyed the food and the service. However, recently I've been surprised at the way the hot fudge sundaes have shrunk; in size but the price just keeps going up! The McDonald's on highway 54 in Owensboro always has issues in my opinion but it is handy. The last incident was with Misty. I ordered 3 hot fudge sundaes. I received sundaes that were about half the size of what I normally get. And the attitude of Misty was totally unacceptable. I'm really disappointed in her behavior. I'm the customer. Please don't think it's okay to be rude. read more

The service was fast but sauces were forgotten which is no biggie it happens. But not saying you're welcome or even smiling or replying when someone is thanking you is very rude. To start off with, I love the way they make their fries and cheeseburgers. THE BEST. The service is ok... they just have a very long drive-thru line... i mean loooong, so i mostly go inside. There floors are sticky in some spots, they have trash and fries through out the place. This McDonald's would normally be getting a 5 star review, so. I didn't exactly have a problem with taking it back and getting my order remade, but one of your employees asked if we had touched the food, took the food, and placed it in a bag for someone else. This used to be my go to McDonalds in Owensboro. Well before Covid this place started getting bad and has gotten worse. Slower than slow. They get my order wrong at least 1 out of 4 times. Never give you any napkins. Just overall a one star McDonalds. Go to the drive they for yourself one time. You will see. read more

Prepare yourself before heading here. Things you will need: fly swatter and about 30 minutes prior to being hungry. Expect a slow crew that would rather stands around and make fun of customers while eating food and drinking sodas. This place does not believe in hand gloves or hairnets. With that in mind I highly doubt they wash their hands in the regular. read more

When to go pay for my food and was greeted by a rude women. She looked as if she wanted nothing to do with any of us. She proceeded to talk with her friend. When my friend went to ask for a few BBQ she and her friend laughed at her and very rudely gave her one BBQ. My food came pretty quickly but, my friends took nearly 30 minutes for a mcchicken, small fry, and some cookies. The lady who finally brought the food gave us two extra cookies. read more

This morning I ordered coffee through the drive-thru. After I made my order and I paid for it I drived to the next window. The girl that was supposed to make my order of coffee. Sneezed in her hand then she proceeded to put hand sanitizer on. That was only because someone told her that I was looking at her. So she decided to wipe her nose in her hand thinking that I could not see her because her back was turned to me. I tried complaining to corporate and nothing changed so I stopped going to this location. Foolishly thought I would give them another try because this McDonald's is closest to my home and it's been awhile. Still dirty. Still sticky. I just don't understand why this location is allowed to be so gross. The service is horrible also. Rude employees and manager. Went through drive through on Sunday evening 7pm. Asked for a shake and a hamburger no bun. Just a hamburger and a shake. Simple, Right? Took 30 minutes waiting in drive thru. As I pulled out of drive thru, with a shake and no hamburger, person at the window yelled out something rude about my small dog in the passenger seat. I parked my car, went inside and one of the employees yelled out *something about to go down in here!* I politely asked for my hamburger patty, again with no bun and the customer service phone number. I was told the number *is on your cup* handed my bag which presumably held a hamburger patty. Got home and discovered I had been given a fully dressed cheeseburger on the bun. Rude! 8am with my kids in the truck, towing a trailer. Stopped here for breakfast, we had a very small order. 7 cars in front of me, drive thru line was moving slow, parking lot was full. I placed my order for 1 mcGriddle and 2 sausage burritos thinking that should be easy enough. Get in/get out. I pulled up to the window and paid. When I finally got to the second window for my food there was 3 cars pulled up beside the building waiting for someone to come outside to hand deliver their order. The poor girl at the window, having a difficult morning, was getting "instructions" from the manager to move the customers along! She asked me to pull up into the handicap parking, that's when I noticed 3 more cars pulled into all the handicap spots, also waiting for an order. There was no room for a smart car, let alone a 4x4 f250 with a 14' trailer. Having a trailer in tow, I politely passed on pulling forward. The manager was irate, telling me to circle the building and get back in line for the drivethru. Are you kidding me? The last time I went here I waited a good 10 minutes in the lobby for the 3 items I ordered. A 6 pc. nugget, McDouble, & a small fry. Keep in mind, there was maybe only 3 other customers in their lobby at the time & the drive thru was not busy. Once I finally got my food, my nuggets were very dark, you could tell the oil was old. I returned them to the counter and asked for a plain double cheeseburger instead. The manager told me the oil was not old, the nuggets had been left out & defrosted then refrozen. Is this safe? How long were these nuggets left out to thaw? Once I got my burger, the bun was crunchy as it had been pretoasted & left to sit. The cheese was not melted either. This was about 30 minutes later that I finally had something & decided to just eat it even though it was not good. The entire time I watched the same young man sitting in his car outside waiting for someone to bring his order out to him. He looked so confused & upset, I felt much more sorry for him than myself. read more

This Mcdonalds is rated very harshly granted not every visit is the best experience. But I haven't had any good experiences at any other restaurant . Burger King Arby's Hardee's you pay more and get less and there no where fast . And none of these places replace your food or even nice. RUDE is what I have encountered. I do know that Mcdonalds does try very hard but people that judge them because of having to wait or food not correct . They haven't stop to think of what is going on in front of them like someone may have ordered 15 sandwiches all of them special ordered them you have not even 10 people working trying to make food for a very high volume store. I see them working very hard trying to make the food. Then I've seen customers cussing at employees witch is very unnecessary. And as far as the cleanliness . I think they are much cleaner then any of the other restaurants. Considering as many people come and go on the inside and the drive thru . You have people who throw out there trash from earlier or a week ask. Whatever and people come in and leave trash on tables let there kids destroy the play-place leave dirty diapers in the changing tables that is provided for them . This McDonalds gets it right. I have a food allergy to yeast and they make my burgers in wraps. They are always fast at the drive thru and the orders are always accurate. Put that with great attitude and better than normal prep for the food and you have a winning combination. Visit this McD and leave happy. read more

I hate this particular mcdonalds. Without joking one time I went in there and ordered a Big Mac when I opened the box the meat patties were green with mold and the lettuce was brown, I asked to speak to the manager and she asked the workers who gave me my burger, this women behind the counter said she did and the burger was fine. I said you eat this garbage then, after arguing for a few minutes I launched the burger said a few unpleasant words and started to walk out and one of the other workers tried to follow me out the door to hand me a fresh burger. I also noticed the tables were covered in food trays and garbage some even had dirty baby diapers on them. This mcdonalds needs to be closed down immediately!!! read more

I would rate it no stars but thats not an option. DO NOT GO AT NIGHT. I had 30 min to spare before work so i thought ill go thru the drive thru real quick. Theres no quick in reference to this store. There was maybe 4 cars one being me. They didnt have very big orders. I was late for work. i waited an exorbent amount of time in the line where i almost left it. Then The fries were cold and saltier then the ocean. The cashier at the window didnt say thanks or anything just shoved my food at me and closed the window. She wasnt wearing a hat and had her dreads pulled loose in a hair tie. I know they are supposted to wear hats. i dont want hair in my food even if it is fake hair. read more
