Even if I'm driving through and somehow get close to Chicago early enough in a Sunday, I will stop here! They have the best iced mocha as mentioned above. I like it very lightly sweetened with regular milk. The owner seems to always take my order and takes it with care. She goes easier on the syrup since she can always add more but they're perfect every time. That's why we always have to make a stop! I also love getting a half order of lox with all the fixings on a multigrain slice. It's perfection every time! And a side of bacon is crispy every time. Oh...they make the best chocolate chip cookies EVER!!! Like ever!!!! Crispy, gooey amazing and omg if you toasted them...dangerous. Lots of great baked items to choose from. Yummm!! Get there early for the best selection. If they're open, make the stop in! You don't regret it. There's a reason lines are long. Support local too.

But, my dad was missing the amareto. Tennessee Toffee- This ice cream was creamy, dreamy, and delicious! I couldn't get enough of it. It was salty, sweet, and savory all in one bite! The toffee was luscious, smooth, and decadent. It was pure heaven. The ice cream was rich and velvety with strong notes of caramel, cocoa nibs, coffee, and most of all Tennessee whisky. It's still a cash only restaurant and not open in the winter months. This past summer we made our annual Redamax stop with our kids. They loved the velveeta cheese burgers and Barq's red cream soda. We also liked their clam strips. Redamax has grown in seating and size, but it doesn't change. It's the "simple" that makes it so special. You can't pass by New Buffalo without a stop at Redamax!
