This location is as close to a dumpster fire as you can get, even for a McDonald's. While the map out of the location is well beyond the staffs control, the service level and food quality is not. To start with the layout, it only takes a few cars to start backing things up in the parking lot and on to Charlotte Pike. It is a sketchy lot, so enter and exit at your own risk! I can usually excuse service related things when the food comes out as ordered, but you can't have unfriendly and slow service along with poor quality food and wrong orders. Now, I know this is McDonald's, so I do not expect cloth napkins and champagne, but I do expect my quarter pounder to be onion free and fries to be hot. Overall, not a great McDonald's. Oh emm gee! We went to this location and the line seemed to not be moving. Then it started to move so we we committed to going through. When we finally make it to the lady to give our order, they said their grill was down and they only had fries, chicken, and nuggets. We literally were in the line for about 45 minutes if not more! Came to get a door dash pickup, stood in the lobby waiting for literally 20 minutes. All the employees just kept working on drive thru orders, kept making eye contact with me, and ignoring me. Not a single "hey we'll be with you shortly" or "give us a few minutes to catch up" they literally just pretended I wasn't even there. Don't. Just don't. Like many people, I love McDonald's fries and the occasional cheeseburger. I recently (mistakenly) opted for this McDonald's to satisfy these cravings. After 2 times ordering the same meal (#9) with the same stomach ache and general queasiness starting about 4 hours after each, I've learned my lesson. Went there for lunch. As I was waiting I noticed the manager handling cheese and buns with no gloves. I shouted to him "wheres your gloves"? He made like he didn't hear me or no comprende. Instead of throwing the burgers and stack of cheese away, he put the burgers in the bin to fulfill the order. I did the survey, called the customer care line that went to voicemail. This is a restaurant filled with rude employees who very clearly dislike their job. As we were ordering food, the cashier attempted to give us our total. I informed her that I had not ordered my meal yet - in which she responded with an eye roll and literally walked away from the register. I also ordered a strawberry milkshake that did not come out as a strawberry milkshake, but rather a mixture of whip cream and vanilla ice cream. When we asked about the strawberry milkshake, they said the machine was broken - which would have been an appropriate response when we had ordered it. If I could rate zero stars, I would. The lady taking the drive thru orders was rude and seemed angry to be doing her job. Once we got to the window, we were not greeted, the young lady working the window was half dressed and didn't even acknowledge that we were there. When she gave us our food and my wife asked for sauce for her nuggets, the young lady rolled her eyes and sloppily reached for the sauce. Once we got back to our hotel, we saw that our order was only half complete and what little they did manage to correctly put in the bag, was cold. And tea all over the top of my pants (which I had just noticed). I took the cup inside my house to examine it. There was a slit about a quarter inch wide that looked like it was put there by a knife.
