If I could give zero stars, I absolutely would. The Detroit Ave. McDonald's in Lakewood proves time and again that even the basic task of filling a simple order is apparently too much to handle. It's almost comical at this point. It truly shouldn't require a high level of intelligence to read a receipt and put food in a bag, yet this location somehow manages to forget half the order--especially on DoorDash or mobile app pickups--almost every time. Calling is pointless because no one answers, and by the time you realize what's missing, it's not worth the hassle to drive back. This level of incompetence is completely unacceptable. What a pig sty!!! Pulled in with 3 cars in the drive thru and 1 person inside, so it's not like they were too busy to clean. The garbage on tables and on the floor was ridiculous. Had to order at a kiosk because I got ignored standing at the counter. Went to get a fountain drink, and the Dr Pepper was just carbonated water. As I ate, a delivery driver came in and had to actually go behind the counter and yell out to somebody to ask for help because nobody was anywhere to be found. Worst McD's experience at this location (Detroit Ave. in Lakewood, OH). I'm not even giving it one star. First, in drive through I pulled my mostly empty LARGE fry box out of the bag right in front of the worker at the window and asked where are the fries. I paid for a large and the box was less than a third full. The worker at the window said she would get a manager. A girl that appeared to be very young came to the window and asked me what the problem was. When I showed her the fries she asked if I ate them (with attitude). After talking to her for a few more minutes, we gave up and left. After I left I called the store and told them what happened. I added that they did not give us 2 of our 4 drinks and that our sandwich was wrong as well. She asked us to come back in for a refund. I live out of state. I told her I can't come back. I called corporate customer service and filed a complaint. They told me to expect a call from the local management. I never received a call. I activated and cleaned out my voicemail just in case. I have several grievances with this location. First- prices are too high. But moving on, there's no where to pull off for mobile orders. Have to go through the slow drive through for them if the inside is closed. Why isn't there a spot to pull off for mobile orders? Should just go through the drive through at that point. If your order will take longer once you've gotten to the second window, they will advise you to park on the side on Woodward. There's clear signs that say no parking any time. So sometimes you'll have one or two cars on the side, blocking the road so those coming from Detroit Ave are stuck. The only relief is those turning left onto Detroit getting a green clearing the work around navigation. It is not very inviting inside. No one really comes up to the order area and the kiosk order areas are sometimes down. This is the McDonalds closest to me but I generally avoid it. It's not worth the hassle and slow wait times. read more

I am not sure what happened with this location but it has become so much better over time! The orders are always right no matter how you order your food (I usually leave off condiments or add extra meat) and the staff is friendly! I stopped in here for dinner one evening. I went in to order - and found the place was pretty dirty. The floors needed a sweeping, and several of the tables were visibly dirty. Undeterred, I ordered a Double Quarter Pounder with Cheese and a bottle of water - to eat in. This is the first McDonald's I've ever been in where they give you a little placard holder with a number to set on your table - and then they bring your food out to you. It was by far, the greasiest burger I've ever had at any McDonald's anywhere. Ugh. I ate it because it was hot and I was starving. I won't be visiting this location again... #McDonalds read more

I ordered a Quarter Pounder with cheese and fries....waited in line 13 minutes before I made my order and 5 minutes after...then addition 5 to get to the window, where I was informed I'd have to pull to the side and wait! WHAT? For a hamburger and fries??? ISN'[T THAT WHAT YOU'RE IN BUSINESS TO SELL? Rude and slow and poorly managed...the fastest they moved was to get my refund so I wouldn't block the drive-thru for the next unhappy customer. My advice...skip this place. read more

The service at this McDonalds is usually very good. The drive thru line moves quickly and the staff is very friendly. Lately, I've had a lot of errors with my meals. I ordered the Bacon Ranch Salad yesterday and they put tortilla strips in it. Not sure where that came from! I ordered a Sausage Egg McMuffin... and there was no egg. I guess I'll just have to check a little closer but it's frustrating when you're on lunch break and you have to spend time checking your bag. Hope things improve. read more

This place has really gone down hill. The staff is very rude. My boyfriend did a curb side order of a spicy chicken sandwich, no pickles. Also, a four piece chicken nugget. Usually, fast food joints get bad raps so I just had to write about my pleasant experience at this specific location today (Valentine's Day, 2/14/18). I went in around 12pm for lunch. The two ladies at the counter were friendly and my order was up quickly. As I sat to eat, I noticed that one of the ladies said "Have a good day" to just about every customer and she seemed genuine about it. The other lady was nice enough to walk orders out to customer's tables. From what I could tell, everyone behind the counter and on the line were positive, stepping in where needed and getting orders out in a timely fashion. I also noticed another lady outside of the restaurant wiping down all the windows. When she came in the restaurant and just before she was about to go to the back, she must have noticed a smudge on the glass window of the door she was about to enter. She took her time and wiped that down as well. It was clear to me that she was proud of her work. A few minutes later she returned from the back and as she was walking through the restaurant she stopped at a table and gave what I believe to be a small toy to a little girl. She then walked over to me and handed me one as well. It turns out, it was a small Valentine's Day craft kit. I didn't have a child with me, but she suggested I may know someone who would probably enjoy it. I continue to be very pleased with this location and the interior decor is bright and clean. I received a 10 pc nugget where the nuggets were so old and dried out, they appeared to be fossilized and found in the Sahara Desert.
