    Cheeseburger
    KC W.

I honestly don't understand how hard it is to read a receipt and make it that way it's order. I got two cheeseburgers no pickles extra ketchup and they did the complete opposite and did extra pickles and little amounts of ketchup. And it wasn't busy either there was one car behind me and that was it. Very upsetting my dinner for the night was ruined because no one can read. I'd give 0 stars if I could

The coffee, which has similarities to a Turkish coffee, is a medium roast with Cardamon and cream. Definately a unique flavor profile from what I am used to where it is a flavorful robust coffee that is well balanced with no harsh notes and oh so tasty. What I didn't know before coming here is that coffee originated out of Yemen some 500 years ago where they clearly have perfected the drink where this is a HUGE step up from the week diluted drink we call coffee here in the states. The coffee shop itself is bright, clean, very modern and very inviting with a casual vibe and nice Yemeni accents throughout to add to drinking experience. Staff is very friendly in explaining the drinks and how they are made and help guide you to the right drink choice as the names of drinks are very unique and a tad confusing as evidenced by my Mufawaar (: Overall an excellent unique coffee shop that is a must visit if you are a fan of good full bodied coffee. This is so good it is actually worth going out of your way to get it!

We live on the West Coast, were looking for Yemini coffee, and fortunately found Qamaria's website, ordering the Gate of Yemen dark roast. The roast is lighter and less oily than a French roast, as it should be, with some oil in the beans appropriate to something called a dark roast. We would say that Qamaria not only skillfully but more importantly respectfully roasts for the bean. This coffee makes us very happy, with a good dark "round" and balanced aroma to the ground beans and the brew. We made it pour over, but it feels most appropriate to stove top espresso or traditional style. It has a very satisfying long tail. A pour with a plot. A touch of the right kind of bitterness. The bean crushes easily between the fingers and grinds up finer than the espresso blend that we drink pour over (45% French Roast using Columbian beans, 45% Italian Roast using Mexican beans and 10% dark roast using Indonesian beans). Qamaria dark roast makes a pour over cup that is thicker than expected, which we find very satisfying: it's a sort of the character of traditional brewing but in a Chemex. We like the surprising way that a slight, fine sediment sneaks through the pour over paper filters and spreads across the tongue. Next we will move on to other Qamaria roasts and blends, brewing on stove top. The price point kills us, but how does one settle for ordinary to save money, when extraordinary gives such pleasure?

And I just can't seem to enjoy it. A few weeks ago, I noticed there was some kind of tea store in the newer strip mall by Milford High, and today, I finally wandered in. The store itself is kind of small, but the assortment of loose teas was impressive. The owner was quick to greet me, and I admitted my weird need to acquire a taste for tea, as well as my complete ignorance to loose leaf tea. I was offered samples, and Lisa took the time to explain different methods of making tea, which I thought was helpful. In addition to tea, there's a small selection of filters, brewing baskets, tea pots, and other accessories. Since I didn't know much about the items, I opted for a box of filters. Imagine my surprise when I discovered that I had paid 50% less than Amazon's price. Whoa. So, with the filters, I obviously bought some tea. And, I'm happy to report that Earl Grey Cream is by far, the best tea I've ever tried. Was it expensive? Yeah, maybe. But so worth it. From what I saw, you can have actual tea parties here, too. I'm not in to that, but they seem pretty serious about it. I also saw that they do tasting every Tuesday night. I think I'll be there for that. The only downside is that this strip mall seems cursed. Besides Hungry Howie's and Dairy Queen, this is where entrepreneurs take their dreams to die. Honestly, I think this could take off in the Village of Milford. Or, maybe enough people will stumble in and have their perceptions changed, like me. I know this much: I'm going to need a steady supply of Earl Grey Cream.

The prices at Hillers (at least currently) are lowering than ordering from the web site. If you get the chance try one of their cream teas.

It was delicious (not too sweet which was exactly what I was looking for). I enjoyed the windows which brighten the space even more. The ceiling is high so the area feels open and large. I think there were mainly only wooden tables and chairs (not a comfy chair area or sofa) but I only stayed in the main room so I'm not exactly sure if there are more seating options. I didn't realize they sell sandwiches and have a soup. I didn't get anything to eat but maybe next time. I would definitely go back if I was back in the Brighton area.

Lots of quirky seats and "decor" as it also doubles as a theater outside of coffee shop hours. The breakfast Sammie's were delicious, as was the lemon poppyseed muffin. We sat out back by the water and it was a beautiful way to spend a slow morning with our toddler!
