I usually always go to this Mcdonald's but when my friends and I ordered our food, the lady behind the counter refused to give us the free sauce that we received after ordering from the kiosk. 3 of us separately went up to different ladies and the price of sauce went from .26 to .35 to .70. It's so heavy, fried, and gross with no redeeming qualities. That being said, this location was recently renovated, looks great, and has awesome service. Today I visited McDonald's located at 407 N. Central Park Avenue Hartsdale NY 10530 to order a senior coffee and oatmeal. The cashier- Mayra asked my age as she shared that I don't look old. I shared that I do not have to disclose my age and asked for the total, paid, and waited for the order. Fellow customers who are seniors shared that she never asks age as it is none of her business Mayra is operating outside of her scope, as she is only in the food service industry here and not vital statistics. This is disgraceful to say the least. McDonald's- Hartdale, NY do better. Mayra needs to be replaced with professional staff because this behavior will cause you to have customers not return. A really bad experience tonight. I have never seen it so busy in a Friday night and so disappointed in the service and food. We ordered online in the app to pick up at this location and I should have know to check and when I got home my entire order was disappointing. I don't receive Big Macs in the ordered and was given some kind of chicken sandiwch. Overall so upsetting and can't believe that this happens. Since the renovation they went down across the board, I've been going here for at least 15 years! I've never had a problem with this McDonald's since the new renovations and today! I've been there a few times since this renovation and every time I would have an issue with the soda or the fries. Like the soda jus sits for hours and think it's still good. 12/6/2023 the worst experience- I asked for a cup of ice they said they had to charge me for the cup 2$?! And I said no I'm okay I'll take my soda at least I'll have a crispy coke before my overnight shift NOPE I WAS WRONG so instead of a new soda I asked can I get this cup filled with ice (medium) he brings back a small cup I said well I paid for this cup can I get ice he he sucks his teeth n rolled his eyes! Well first off, the service blows here mainly because they try to cheat you out of your sauce. They always say three if I order 20 nuggets but my golly you give them hell they'll give you that fourth sauce. To avoid the headache just order on the app and they'll give it to you fo sho. Like they try to charge you for that 4th one when they shouldn't so shame on them. Had the spicy nugget today and it was the best dam nugget I ever had in my life and I had chicken nuggets from McDonald's all around the world. The regular gold nuggets, the best are in Australia but today, the spicy nuggets stole my heart. So flaky, crispy, fresh, and actually spicy!! In fact, so spicy I am on the toilet as I am typing this review. I was pouring sweat dripping down my head into my shirt. The chicken was Popeyes grade delicious. Like if Popeyes chicken had babies these nuggets would be it. Try the spicy nuggets and get nothing but the mighty wing sauce. Doesn't go well with anything else! You won't regret trust me! While making my way to white plains via central ave i made a quick stop at McDonald's for a chicken biscuit sandwich, hash brown , mcflurry, and large diet coke which I consider a breakfast of champions or in my case a weird breakfast..its only 10.am on a Sunday morning and joint is already crowded with folks sitting and on line .I placed my order with the gal and moved to the left and 5 minutes later I got my yummy bag of treasure , but darn no straw in bag and no napkins but I got my food and drink correctly and that's what matters. On my previous visits before covid which were only during lunch time and on the weekends its always been a busy mcdonalds and with plenty of stores all around the area I understand why folks come here as its the only fast food joint in area . The service is the only reason I am giving this location two stars. At least six registers available but one available with 9 to 10 staff in various areas behind the counter. Not too crowded so pancakes and hot chocolate should not be too difficult. Repeated my order three times. Nobody moved, looked up at the screen or picked up pancakes to place them in the bag. 3 people that ordered after me have left. I finally get my order only to be shooed (that is a word like shoo-fly pie) drive to work, sit down to eat: coffee instead of hot chocolate, pancakes with 3 sides butter, no syrup, no napkins and an ice cold hasbrown that I didn't even order. Was pleasantly surprised to find this McDonald's restaurant tucked near gourmet grocery store we visit. They prepared our food for take-out and packaged all take out portions securely in quality containers which kept these warm until serving 30 minutes later. Burgers and fries were delicious. I had the worst experience here tonight. I didn't know they closed at midnight because I'd been there later than that before, my boyfriend and I got out of an event late and decided to stop here and came in at around 11:40 (if I'd known they closed at midnight, I would've absolutely went somewhere else. I've worked in the service industry) we ordered, the woman who took our order was polite but our food took a while and it was a very simple order, about 15 minutes. There were people online behind us and several people sitting down eating. We decided to eat there, because we were so hungry and right after we took 2 bites of our food we see the lady locking the door at 11:55. Several others were also sitting down eating, some still ordering food.. they then proceeded to turn the lights off while us and 5 other tables of people were sitting down eating, everyone was in disbelief of how rude that was. My boyfriend and I immediately packed our stuff up and walked out while listening to the woman tell everyone they needed to leave. This location is clean. However, the fries weren't right. The wait time during the lunch hour is too long. I waited 10 minutes in line and then 10 more for my food. In addition, they charge more for extra sauce. I understand giving just a few so the customer isn't wasting it, but if I want more, you need to give me more and not nickel and dime me.
