One of the paper activities entering my daughter.
Adriana H.

I like how they have cartoons playing in the dining room instead of cnn or the news like most McDonald's. They also always have a table with activities for kids which is a cool treat to entertain my daughter while we wait on food. The wait is never too long and the dining room has been clean each time I dined in.

Kiosk ordering.

They must have updated their site as my previous review is not here. We moved to a neighboring town but come to Groton often. Decided to stop by and was a little surprised that they updated their place by adding ordering kiosks. 4 stars because I wasn't used to that offering so we went to the counter but they must have been a little busy since no one came over. So I resigned myself to trying the kiosk. Want to bad, easy to use. It just took me a little longer as I had never used one before. But I managed to make the order, for 4 of us, and it came as ordered. So I was impressed.

Everyone in our party of 5 enjoyed their meals. Food was delicious. Well seasoned but not overly spicy. Waitress was delightful and provided great service. We sat inside but would definitely sit outside on deck on a return trip. Treat yourself and give Favorites a try.

Atmosphere/Appearance: Set right on the main strip of Bank Street is this Haitian/Caribbean themed restaurant. There's no private parking, but there's usually some street parking available. But once inside the decor is kept light, creating a vary open and spacious feeling. There's a flower wall of course with some neon signs and stuff. But if you continue all the way through the restaurant you can go right out the back onto their patio which faces the water! It's such a beautiful vibe out there. However, the Amtrak train runs along the water as well and every so many minutes you may get a blast from the train's horn. Lol. But the atmosphere is lively with good music, but certainly not loud. Service: Majin (sp) and her husband (the owners) are almost always present. You can find them in the kitchen, behind the bar or out front talking to guests. They're so friendly, personable and welcoming. KP is the bartender with such a bright and bubbly personality! Food/Drinks: I've been here about 3 to 4 times and have had so many things here. You can't go wrong with the corn ribs, conch chowder, any flavor of wings or the brunch tostadas! Value: Nothing too crazy. Not expensive, but not cheap. You do get your money's worth, I can tell you that! In conclusion, I'll keep on coming here. I love the atmosphere, location and of course the food! Check this place out if you're in the area!

They don't really have signage, so keep an eye out -- it's next to a Thai restaurant and definitely worth finding. Although we didn't eat, the food coming out of the kitchen looked incredible. The cocktails, however, completely stole the show. Every drink was thoughtfully crafted, and the espresso martini was especially impressive. What really made the experience stand out were the bartenders. Friendly, welcoming, and genuinely engaging -- exactly what you hope for when you're visiting a new town and looking for a place to unwind. Can't wait to come back next time we're in town.

The windows are tinted and covered with curtains so you would t know you really arrived. When we asked why they have no sign the answer was they like it that way and will not have a sign. They share the parking lot with Jasmine Thai. When we walked in I have to say the decor is gorgeous. I love the boutique look to it and beautiful bar with black background. The hallway to bathrooms is beautiful including the bathroom. There were 2 bartenders. One of them came to our table to take our order. Tables are low coffe table styles with velvet pink accent chairs. On the other side by the stage they had some regular wood high tops as well. The ceiling was highly black with low dimmed yellow lights. I have to say, it was very hard to read the menu and had to use my phone flashlight. Other than that it looked nice. The place was feeezing. There were man at the bar with their coats on. I took mine off but had to put it back. It was the one thing I definitely didn't like about this place. If I return it will be in the summer. Now let's talk food. The food looked great and tasted very good. I love their entire menu. It was tough to decide. We tried the spring rolls; tuna tacos and Shrimp Himmapan. For dessert we had the Pistachios ricotta cake. The description given by the waitress was not correct but it was good. I would call this a cake. It was more like a cheesecake type dessert. But flavor wise was great. We will come back with friends once the weather is better. Don't want to risk being so cold like that again.

Found out that they were out of American cheese so we had to opt fire Swiss, had chedder and monterey jack cheeses too. But was disappointed that we had to substitute it out. Staff were friendly and helpful and we did get a lot of fries for a regular size. Burgers were ok, would have liked to have had a little more sauce on them. We did wait a little bit for the order but that was expected since the burgers were made to order when you ordered them.

Rather bland and ordinary for an abnormally high price for a 'fast food burger'. Finished my workout on base, forgot my lunch, and needed something quick. Since its been a few years since I've been to the base, I remembered a quick Hotdog joint near the NEX... Way back Burger is in the place the old hotdog shop used to be and I figure I would give it a try. Placed my order at 1230. Not really anyone in line, placed my order, grabbed my drink and sat down. Burger with fries were ready at 1245, which I found a little slow. I watched as there are about 4-5 ppl working there but only really 2 people are actually working... The grill cook and prep girl are also trying to main the register, so between bouncing back and forth, nothing really gets done. Then you have 3 random people in work uniforms wondering around shooting the breeze and it really makes you wonder if this place could actually do something in 5-7 minutes vice fifteen if someone actually enforced a standard... Being disgruntled with the situation I ate my burger and most likely will never be back. I should have read the other reviews that stated the same thing. I figure on a base where the sailors are running everywhere to get things done, one of the few options for non-institutional food would actual work at a decent pace...
