This McDonald's had a huge line in the drive-through and I almost didn't stop, but decided to get in line anyway. Once in line, it seemed to take forever. It's hard to be patient in a drive-through when you're in a hurry. I noticed a couple of people got out of line after ordering. I almost did the same, but then the line seemed to suddenly gain momentum. Once I got to the window to get my food, the gentleman briefly explained, "We had a DoorDash order," with an apologetic look on his face. That is all it took for me to be fine with my long wait in line. I could see how they were hurrying and trying to get the job done inside. That quick and sincere apology made it OK for me. That is what customer service is all about. Way to go McDonald's team! I could see how hard you all were working, and your front man at the drive up window made the difference for me. 7/8/25: Tonight, after a long 11hr day of running a service-based business we find out there's a DOUBLE BIGMAC so we say YAY and order McDonald's through the app and race to the store. I'm waiting in the lobby, and someone checks on me because there's no open tickets, but I'm waiting. They go back to the crew, at which point someone said "its the big @$$ bag right there)." The man comes back and reports they're having grill issues, at which point i patiently wait a few minutes. Now, getting concerned that my other food is getting cold i ask if i can cancel the order. The manager tonight (who's name is unknown) proceeds to ask if there's an issue and I POLITELY said I dont want to make them remake our food and cause a scene, we'll just run across the street (if they're having grill issues i don't want to wait to remake lol). She stumbled over her words and said it has to be through the app. I say okay, "I'll wait her while I try in case I have any issues." (Already sensing the lack of confidence in that solution) The app tells me that if I want a refund, I must go to the store. So i reported back to the gal and said it says to report to the store and showed her my phone. She said, well I have to call my GM. Hmm.. okay so i asked to speak to a manger and she stated she was the manager. I'm thinking the manager should have no issues with this, and say so you don't need to call your GM you should be able to refund me. She immediately becomes defensive and grabs her phone and calls the GM. I'm over here paranoid thinking this girl is going to find any reason NOT to refund me so I turn on my camera. When she returns, she saw it and became defensive asking me to turn it off, out of respect I DID and she CHOSE TO FOLLOW THIS ACTION WITH "F%CK BRO" - This is the 2nd time I've heard profanity from behind the counter so I turn my camera back on because this MANAGER is CUSSING at a CUSTOMER. The staff was making fun at me for recording. Not realizing their manager had put them in that situation from incompetence. She is still on the phone with the GM and she walks away because I'm obviously still recording. So I'm left up front with zero closure. From drama, SHE created (wait for the reason why, its a good one and totally worth treating me this way). After about 5min of sitting up there with no contact, I tried to get someone's attention and hollared, "DO I NEED TO CALL THE COPS" and the staff looked at me and went back to working. At this point, I'll admit I'm pretty fuming, which takes a lot for me!! Idk what to do so I dial 911 and spoke with dispatch until the police arrived. I had to ask the staff to let them in because they locked the doors. The police first ask the woman and GM to refund, she proceeds to LIE to police and tell them that i got irate (because i assumed she didn't need the gm if she was the manager and was just being rude). She then tells police that she doesn't know everything yet so she had to call the GM for help. Okay then JUST SAY THAT BOO!!!! WTF, IM HUMAN!!! WHY LIE?!??! Thankfully, they have cameras in the lobby and on the police vest. I am going to COURT and corporate, I was humiliated by a management representative over something that wasn't even that deep. Girl, just get info to refund and don't cuss or fight with a customer WHEN YOU ADMITTED ON POLICE VEST VIDEO THAT YOUR EQUIPMENT WENT OUT HALFWAY THROUGH MY ORDER. I'll see you in court I woulda paid for my sodas lol (pics and videos coming). We visit this location often as we live so close and have hit or miss service throughout and chose to keep a 5 star review until today. There is something not right with this location. I've been trying to do business there for a long time I live in the local area and every time I go there in the last hour or so when they say they're open, they never are and all the people that try to go there go across the street to Wendy's. This location could do so well if the employees just cared about what they're doing and ensure that if they're open, they really are open if they're not turn the lights off and make it clear that they're not and ensure that the online hours reflects that This has been a problem for a long time, and I don't know if the owners are aware but if they just checked the cameras, they would see the this is a disaster. I opened my app and McDonalds had charged my bank but was unable to complete the order. I showed the manager the recent transaction and told me she wouldn't do anything to help. honestly, if I could give zero stars, I would. More times than not, this specific McDonald's has been a huge disappointment. There have been multiple times that I've come to get food before they close, and they are already closed. Tonight, specifically, they let me sit at the drive-through box for 5 to 7 minutes before telling me that they were doing " covid cleaning. So they were already closed." i've worked in this industry for almost 10 years, and I have never been as dissatisfied with the service as I have been recently. It's one thing if I try to be that jerk that comes in two minutes before they are technically closed, but I showed up probably at least 15 minutes before they were closed. Their menu was still on, and they let me sit there for a while before telling me they were closed. HUGE disappointment. I will be going out of my way to another mcdonald's from now on. read more

So the one good thing I can say about our brief visit to this McDonald's is at least they didn't mess up our order, but that doesn't say much. We only had two sodas. The guy doing orders didn't even let us finish talking before he interrupted to tell us his total. Then at the window asked if we were sure that was all we wanted, interrupted again, told us the total, and closed the window right as we went to hand him the money. We waited a minute, handed him the money and went to the second window. Our drinks had the wrong type of lid on one so it was really wanting to spill. If there were a 0 star option I'd be happy. We ordered a Big Mac meal, double quarter pounder. We didn't get 1 fry and the one we did was harder than rocks & dry. So we asked for fresh ones and the one they didn't give us. They gave us 2 large fries and didn't think to check because it was the replacement. Got home & same story. The double quarter pounder was literally bleeding with one bite. It was uncooked. The Big Mac had 1 half peice of meat. Just 1/2 piece. The "hot chocolate" was black coffee full of grounds in the bottom. there was no one inside, no one in the drive through other than us and it took 37 minutes to get our order. No one seemed to know what they were doing and I highly recommend going to Wendy's across the street or another McDonald's. This place is nothing but trouble & food poisoning. read more

This is the best location in town! The service is outstanding. And they always get my order right. I've always had a good experience here and I've loved how awesome all of the employees are. There's one man in particular there who is the sweetest cashier ever and always tries to put a smile on your face! Very happy with this McDonald's. UPDATE: 8/26/2015: I live very close to this location so my family goes frequently. I have consistently been impressed by the level of customer service that has been shown. One cashier, Tony, is so friendly and he takes pride in his job. He always makes sure you get the most bang for your buck. He answers questions about the menu and is so incredibly helpful. This man is the gold-standard of customer service. The whistle-while-you-work kind of person you love to be around. This is the best fast food place in town as far as service goes. read more

I guess I believe in redemption. That mistakes happen, they get corrected, and all forgiven. But that has not been my experiences at the McDonalds on Colorado Ave. Tonite, I ordered a Bacon Ranch Salad, grilled chicken, and Southwest dressing at the drive-thru. They said they were out of the grilled chicken, but offered to make some if I waited. No big deal. When I finally got home with my salad and opened it up, not only was there very little lettuce, it was not even a bacon ranch salad. I honestly don't know what it was, as it looked like a cross between a southwest and a side salad. But they did get the grilled chicken right. This is now the third time in a row they have not gotten my order right. My previous meal was supposed to be an Egg McMuffin and a Bacon Egg and Cheese biscuit. The biscuit was missing the bacon, and I don't even know what the other one was; an english muffin with a slice of ham and a patty of sausage. The time before that, probably a year ago or more, was some kind of a special bbq bacon burger. I remember it was just a bun and a burger patty. No bacon, no sauce, nothing. I verified each time that the receipt was what I ordered. I live a few miles from this place, and I'm not inclined to go all the way back, especially in bad weather. WORST McDonalds in town. I take my son every Tues night...don't judge me:) He is 6 and he loves happy meals...sigh. I find if I let him choose on Tues nights, he is agreeable to what we're having the other nights of the week;) In any case, he gets the same thing every week (6 piece McNuggets, fries, and a choc milk). More than 50% of the time, this restaurant gets it wrong. We get 4 McNuggets, or the wrong side, or no milk, or the wrong milk, or no kids toy (gasp! the horror). Fast food is not rocket science. Come on, people! Two weeks ago, after a wrong order, I finally called the manager to discuss the situation. I was tired of paying for 6 nuggets and getting 4. Mr. Manager, never apologized for the consistently poor service but he did offer me a free happy meal on my next visit. Sigh. Fast forward a Tuesday, I ask for my happy meal and am told that I cannot get the free meal in the drive-through. Of course they tell me this as I am at the pay window. So, I pay for the meal...another sigh. When I get to the order window, they tell me they are out of chocolate milk, toys, and Caesar dressing. I ask to cancel my order (what's the point now) and am told that they cannot refund my money because I used a card. I insist, so they tell me to pull forward and make me wait 10+ minutes before refunding me...yet another sigh. Fast forward another Tuesday (yes, I went back...do you have a 6 year old...hahahah). I again ask for the happy meal (this time I go in) and am told by the Mr. Manager that he doesn't remember any free happy meal and it's not in his "system" (his system is a green notebook with hand-scribbled notes). He cannot correctly pronounce my name after 3 tries standing in front of him, so I guess I am not surprised that he cannot find it in his highly reliable technical tracking system. Anyway, he makes a comment under his breath about how he always puts things in the book (hmmm...so I am making all this up for a free kids meal...are you kidding me?). I ask to speak to another manager, so he walks away and ignores me. OK, I am done. Corporate is getting a letter and Tuesday night kids choice will be anywhere but the Colorado Ave McDonalds. Sigh...do you hear me, Mr. Manager...sigh! Pros: The Golden Arches...kids love it. Cons: Mr. Manager; also, orders are wrong MORE than half the time, drive-through workers are allowed to text friends while working, they never give napkins, straws, or condiments in the drive-through so you have to ask for them (is this normal? HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE, UNSANITARY & DIRTY. I asked for a tray for dine-in & this obnoxious Latina working as order expeditor said, "dining rooms closed -- there's a sign on the door." (There wasn't.) I then said I wanted a refund and she said "sign is on the door so it's too late." When I pointed out the sign was on only 1 of the 3 doors, she said, "well *I* put the signs up -- if they aren't there anymore, its not my fault." I said, "Wow, you give great customer service!" to which she said "yeah, I guess we do. have a good day sir." When I tried to continue speaking, she kept saying "have a good day sir" over and over and over, louder & louder, talking over me & preventing me from being heard. One of her co-workers had to tell her to calm down! And astoundingly, neither of the managers bothered to intervene in any way. AND, DESPITE THE LAW, MOST OF THE STAFF WAS NOT WEARING THEIR MASK OVER THEIR NOSE, AND BOTH MANAGERS HAD THE MASK BELOW THEIR CHINS. read more
