FOOD Located in Concourse C, this location gets busy fast. They offer the standard McDonald's menu. I had the spicy snack wrap, and it was hot and filling. DRINKS Various soft drinks are available for purchase. SERVICE To order, you can either order at the front (slower service), at the two kiosks at the side (faster, credit card only), or online. It gets busy, but the staff are efficient in pumping out orders. AMBIANCE Seating is available around the concourse as visitors await their flights. read more

Desperate times call for desperate measures. Late night connecting flight. This was one of the only places open if you wanted hot food. Otherwise it was cold sandwiches from the shop. This place doesn't even deserve one star. I know, I know, it's McDonald's, in an airport so you gotta give them some leeway. Which I did. I know not to expect much. But this was the most atrocious service I've ever come across for fast food in any airport I've been too, and I travel frequently. They won't take your order at the cash register (which is fine, we ordered from the kiosk anyhow) but did witness them tell people who tried to order they wouldn't take their orders and to order from the kiosk after they stood in line waiting. The kiosk didn't have paper so it wasn't spitting out tickets with your number on it. Snails pace from all employees, they were chatting and making jokes while people were (trying to patiently) wait for their food. They were calling out order numbers but people didn't have ticket numbers since the kiosk wasn't printing ticket receipts, so many people were confused. People waiting for their food for 20-30 minutes. I actually saw multiple orders abandoned because people couldn't wait any longer for their food or they'd miss their flights. Saw at least 4 orders just sitting on the counter that had been abandoned, other people considered just taking them since they weren't sure they'd even get their orders. Spoke up to the employee about our order with a reminder that we don't have a number because the kiosk didn't print one out. Told her what we had and she started working on it. Didn't have one of our items told her it was fine (no refund-but just wanted to get something and run) one of the lucky few in our time frame who received our order (missing an item-Apple pie, also not correct order-three orders of fries, we ordered two so I'm sure some poor bloke was missing their fries, only one cheeseburger when we had two) and had to sprint to our gate and barely made it. Whoever runs this McD's needs to get new staff, or retrain on customer service, and food procedures in general. McDonald's is supposed to be a consistent staple everywhere you go. This place was purely awful. I'm usually only one to write positive reviews but this was just the biggest disgrace that I had to let it be known. Please, for anyone considering, just get the cold sandwich and a bag of chips from the news store next door. You'll be much happier you did. read more

40 minutes before my flight started boarding. Waited the full 40 minutes before I had to abandon my order. No refunds given. The guy behind the counter moved at a snail's pace and didn't care at all. Worst experience at a fast food place ever. read more

Quick bite to eat and a great Coke (they always mix them well) plus the salty super familiar fries that McDonalds is know for! The app doesn't work here! Boo!! Convenient spot in the B concourse at O'hare. I hate paying airport prices for McDonald's but if one has a fix, one must satisfy said fix. Was at gate B3, so it's pretty far from those gates if you're thinking of goin to your gate first and double back, I would stop there on the way if you're at the end of the concourse. Nothing out of the ordinary, nothing terrible either. Oh, nuggets came in a bag instead of the usual box here. So that's different. Other than that...get your fix fixed here. read more

Two ladies working at 7:56 on a Thursday. No in-person ordering except for the kiosk. No burger options available, only chicken options. Pretty much out of most nuggets sauces and many frozen drinks, bakery items, etc. You have to hand in your ticket so they can start your order. I've never seen anything like it. They get 2 stars instead of 1 because the staff (especially the woman placing orders and taking tickets) are rockstars under these circumstances. read more

I only do stellar reviews or terrible review, this one if the latter. Slow, rude, and unprofessional service. Took 30 minutes to get a cheesburger and fries, and it wasn't that busy. While I waited I heard the workers yelling at customers. One lady lost it when a customer left his receipt on the counter after his number was called. The entire management team should be sacked at that location. There were people from all over the world standing there dumbfounded at our great society. read more

Sandwich and fries Ice cold. fries just about inedible. Awful experience even knowing...

I simply wanted a cup of coffee. Small. Two creams. I stood in line, patiently waiting to use the cold, impersonal and sub-efficient GUI driven kiosk to place my order. It took 2-3 minutes to navigate and place the order, obtain my receipt and then stand about waiting for my number to be called. It's now 6:48 -- my order was placed at 6:26 -- and I STILL have not received my coffee. I would normally walk up to the counter and ask for a refund, but I'm afraid the 50 other customers standing here waiting with me might attack me. THIS IS INSANE!!!!!!! McDonald's-- here's an idea: establish a coffee-only kiosk and hire just one additional employee whose sole responsibility is brewing and serving coffee. Simple. Right now there are only THREE people working here and serving hundreds. read more

Bad customer service!! First thing first. Employee are wearing no badge, wearing Sandles, more like they are in their home kitchen cooking for customers and doing a favor! They are more deserving people would like to take over the job. They missed a sandwich went back to counter and the lady up front very rude! She knows exactly what she is putting in everyone bag with their order with big attitude. It's like she is handling a $1000 transaction. Rather than checking she claims she did put in their and I want extra food! Please over $5 bucks I would pay over and over $5 any time. She was rude was not willing to budge. On my order she was like yeah told the lady get this man bun with spicy chicken and tossed it in the bag! Like I am dog! I asked for any sauces and she was like it's $1 extra since when MCD starting to charge $1 for ketchup or any other sauce. She was Rude!! I never leave reviews!! But this B.S at MCD need to be fixed!! If you don't want to work please leave because it's unhealthy environment for customers with MCD employee! Didn't catch the employee name! She knows who she is. And some people will never change for better of their self and other! I called the manager as well. They know exactly what happen. 2:15 kiosk order 790! Total of $20 Right next to C9 Rounded up the change for good cause and got a rude service thank for the time CHI-Town! Until next time. read more

Ordered the new Double Big Mac. Sometime during its preparation, the manager, without gloves on, took out her cellphone to Facetime an employee for her birthday. Then the whole crew of roughly eight people gathered around to shout "happy birthday." The manager did not use hand sanitizer after pulling out her phone and having the crew essentially spit all over it. Unconscionable that not a single employee at a McDonalds ... in an airport ... in March 2020 thought that something was wrong here. Oh, they also messed up my order so I had to wait again for them to provide the Double Big Mac while listening to an employee comment about how it was a "heart attack on a bun." Thanks to all involved. read more

I could leave -5. I would absolutely terrible. Young will work in this morning was extra room never saying thank you or acknowledging our compliments or even have a good day or thank you totally ignored Also when I asked for my coffee, she said I'll get it for you when I bring out your bag and then she did not and then she started taking care of others. It was ridiculous. She was very extremely rude not only to myself which other customers. While talking to other Airport workers, I asked where they would recommend breakfast in the future and they said they do not use McDonald's anymore because of the rudeness Worker was handling dirty things including money in cash register but did not put on gloves or clean hands properties very dirty read more

Horrible workers. Took 30 minutes just for a sweet iced tea, 6pc chicken nugget and 2 large fries. when i got in line to order i was yelled at to use a kiosk. when i went to the kiosk i was told to wait for the other one because there was a small puddle i was avoiding in front of it. then after i finally was able to order i waited. when i got my food there wasn't a straw in my bag so i asked "can i please have a straw" it was thrown into my bah and the word mustered under her breath "i put one in there if you'd fucking look." I will never ever come back to this mcdonalds and would rather walk halfway across the airport to another one. wish i could put 0 stars! read more

My last experience at this McDonalds prompted me to write a review simply because what I saw was unacceptable in terms of health and safety. The lady in line in front of me ordered a sandwich with special instructions (include bacon in the sandwich). She was also sick and was coughing into her hands the entire time she stood in line and stood waiting for her food. When her order number was called, the first thing she did with her germ ridden hands was open up her sandwich to make sure the bacon was there. It was not. So, with her contaminated hands, she handed the sandwich over to the McDonald's employee, and that employee (whose hands are now contaminated) handed the sandwich over to the kitchen employee (whose hands are now contaminated and by placing that sandwich on the counter, has inadvertently contaminated the kitchen counter). Unfortunately, when my order was delivered to me with contaminated hands, I accepted it because I was starving, tired, and could not wait any longer for my food. There was a 50/50 chance of me getting sick and thankfully I did not get sick. But that still does not negate this McDonald's failure to comply with safety and sanitation standards. This incident has been reported to McDonalds Corporate. read more

I've had layovers at Chicago O'Hare numerous times over the past decade+. More often than not, I'd hit up one of the airport's McDonald's to quell my hunger after a long flight. McDonald's is especially satisfying after an international flight. There's a Mickey D's in just about every terminal at O'Hare. They all receive a high volume of customers and appear to be efficiently run. I've never had any issues. My most recent O'Hare Mickey D's pit stop occurred at the Concourse C location. After hitting up America's Dog at the opposite end of Concourse C for Chicago-style hot dogs, I came to this Mickey D's for an Oreo McFlurry dessert. The McFlurry cost $3.54 after tax ($3.20 before). Outrageous pricing considering my intown neighborhood McDonald's in Atlanta charges only $2.69 (tax incl.) per McFlurry. That's nearly a 33% price increase! As I stated in my America's Dog review, that's airport pricing for you. Inflated. Regardless, the McFlurry tasted fantastic, as always. Smooth, creamy, and delicious. Quick service. They could make the menu easier to read. The text is a bit small, even when standing at the ordering counter. When your order is ready, not only will your number be called by an employee, but it will be displayed on a red computer screen above too. read more

What to eat for dinner on a cold, Chicago winter's eve as I wait for my flight back to L.A.? I saw this Mickey D's right across from my gate (C11) and knew I had to go with my childhood favorite meal: Filet-o-Fish! Soft and tender, light flaky white fish filet, topped with tangy tartar sauce all on a lightly steamed bun. So yummy! The box said the fish is wild-caught Alaskan Pollack responsibly sourced from an MSC certified sustainable fishery... so even better. :) I'm surprised how healthy and non-greasy the sandwich tasted. It seemed to be more oily when I was a kid... The fries were perfectly cooked and crisp with a nice amount of potato in every bite. They didn't give me any ketchup, and I was too lazy to go back and ask for it, but the fries were good enough without ketchup. Washed down with Dr. Pepper, this was an awesome meal before my flight. :D read more

These guys were slammed and I mean SLAMMED with customers when I visted. 20 people in line just to order at the register. 15 in line to use the self-ordering machine. About 30 people who had ordered and waiting on their food. It took 23 minutes to get my food after I ordered, but there were something like 30 or 40 orders ahead of mine. Worst service ever. One self service machine is out. The manager is serving fries keeping a line of people waiting in line. This is ridiculous if one machine is broken they should put 2 cashier taking order but guess what they have no one Should really look at their staffing needs People started leaving, which sucks if they have long flights ahead of them FYI workers don't properly wear their face mask It took me 30 minutes to place my order and another 30 to get it Not worth it read more

Horribly slow service and seem to be out of items often. They're so slow people were coming right back after receiving orders because they were cold. It's the average McDonald's but missing many items. Only about 7 sandwiches are available and they just ran out of cheese. Unfortunately most of the O'Hare restaurants close at 7pm so this and restaurants with a bar is the only option. I think there were more people waiting than ordering food. Hopefully it's a fluke because you're paying airport prices for a bit slower service and missing items. read more

Have it your way. You got a long layover especially since your initial aircraft is now broken. You're hungry and McDonald's is sitting there right across from your terminal and you know you're in for a long flight. A little more expensive with airport prices. Same food you know and expect. Pick something that won't upset your stomach on the flight. They get lots of foot traffic and crew members behind the counter are buzzing with activity. No where to sit so take your grub to the gate. And in McDonald's trivia for international travelers: McDonald's largest market outside the United States is Japan. "Makadonaldo" first opened in 1971 on the world-famous Ginza. Located inside the Mitsukoshi Department Store, it was the smallest McDonald's restaurant in the world - at 500 sq. ft. Today, that restaurant has been relocated and expanded and has been joined by another 2,000+ McDonald's restaurants. read more

I traveled to Chicago last April for quick getaway and here's my review five months later. On Terminal 5, Kicking back with friends while waiting for my flight that had been delayed and rescheduled three times. I haven't had McDonald's in a long time and I wasn't planning to either but since there wasn't any other places around, I went with my friend's suggestion. More expensive than regular McDonald's, but since it is located conveniently within the airport, it's a good enough place to hunker down for hungry and Weary travelers like me. Fries were piping hot and they followed our order of "no salt." My friends seem to enjoy the burgers, so all in all it was a good experience. Easy access to public restrooms. read more

The World According to Noelle Allergic Girl's Guide to Life December 24, 2009 Allergy Girl arrives at O'Hare Airport. We caught the early morning flight and when we arrived it was lunch time- lunch time according to our tummies (we were still on west coast time). My better half was discouraging me from eating at the Golden Arches. He said, "Honey we hardly ever eat here. Let's go to White Castle. I know you've been wanting to try White Castle." Then the grumble in my tummy started. I told my better half that I needed to eat now or else I'd faint. We got our food and rushed to the baggage claim. I sat down as he got our bags. I took a bite and it was super salty. My better half had the same experience with his burger. It was too far to walk back and return the super salty burgers.
