We called J G Perry Plumbing and Heating in a panic and told them that our water heater was under warranty but was leaking. We'd called several other plumbers and by the time we got return calls from the other plumbers, J G Perry Plumbing and Heating had already dispatched a person to our house who showed up within 15 minutes of our call. The person came to the house, immediately pumped the tank and shut everything off to prevent further damage. We were worried that we couldn't get a replacement water heater for a while since it's not traditionally in stock. J G Perry Plumbing and Heating called us the next morning at 6am to let us know they hadn't forgotten about us and that they got a water heater and would install it that day. The men came to the house at 10am, bringing the new water heater, drapes to protect our finished basement and equipment to install everything. In less than 18 hours, we had a new functioning water heater. We were so thankful to have called them and really appreciated the prompt response and help.

Horrible experience. I was quoted $375/hour as an emergency rate and was told confidently over the…read morephone that my leaking pipe would be taken care of that evening. At that price, I expected preparedness and for the issue to be taken care of. When the plumber arrived, he looked at the pipe briefly and said he didn't have the required part and the supply store was already closed. No repair was started. They did not ask me to send any photos of the leaking pipe beforehand, which could have helped them come prepared. Despite this, I was asked to pay $300 for the visit. I was also told a receipt would be sent. Weeks later, I still have not received one. Charging a premium emergency rate creates a reasonable expectation of readiness and professionalism. In this case, the repair did not even get off the ground, and basic follow-through (such as providing documentation) has been lacking. The experience fell far short of what was promised.
