Only one block wide but five blocks long, the park includes a set of tennis courts, baseball field, playground and a large picnic pavilion with a steam locomotive set. The train set is accessible and in very good condition for those who appreciate such things. There isn't an active or obvious decommissioned rail line here so it's interesting that a huge steam locomotive is here on display. The park is in reasonable condition with too much litter and dumping from people who should know better. The steam locomotive has Burlington route markings and the tower has grand crossing which is a real railroad tower that that was moved to the park. Rail fair takes place on the third Saturday in July with $5 tours of the tower and locomotive.

You could tell Alex was very knowledgeable and customer service oriented. After talking to Alex, and watching his YouTube videos, we booked a half day on the water in the middle of May. Quick breakdown: Alex communicated great leading up to the day of the trip and told us exactly where to go on the day of the trip. We arrived a few minutes early and Alex was waiting the dock for us. After a quick safety briefing. We pushed out and had a great fishing day. We caught largemouth and smallmouth and even a bonus fish (pike). We fished a variety of baits but we caught them on crank baits, chatter baits, and senkos. The fish were mostly post spawn and were kinda in that funk between spawning and guarding fry. Alex never stopped working to get us on fish, he moved spots frequently with the changing conditions. Alex's boat fishes very well and he has all the modern tools to help get on fish. He has quality equipment and it was all ready for our success. Alex prices were fair considering the cost of fuel, equipment and his time. Alex does not provide lunch or snacks but that is ok because he tells you up front and that allows you to bring whatever you like. All said, Alex is great and we look forward to booking another trip with him. 5/5

We drove down from Tomahawk and were able to land 10 fish highlighted by a 20-12 lb and 13-3 lb Flathead and a monster 14-14 lb Channel. It was a trip none of us will ever forget. No Grumpy Old Men found here just friendly service and a lot of bait for your buck! The young man behind the counter always greets us with a smile, and gave helpful recommendations on what bait to use depending on what we were fishing after that day. I bought the usual minnows and took the recommended night crawlers hoping to catch CatfishHunter! I didn't catch him (story of my life) but ended up reeling in a big one, a nice looking Northern Pike! I know pics or it didn't happen, guess I'll have to post it! The shop also has some snacks and soda including locally made jerky, the fish are not the only ones who need to eat! If that's not enough right next door is Emma's Diner, I was told the locals are hooked on the sandwiches so definitely need to catch one of those next time I'm in town. Just had the craziest experience tonight at this store. My 16 yr old had picked out 3 Nike items…read moreand went to the dressing room to quickly try on (she's wearing pull in shorts, loose cropped tank and slip on birks) a sweatshirt, baggy sweatpants and a tank top. Attendant came over and said "the manager said I can't let you in since it is 4 mins to close". I said it's 3 items and she can be quick. I asked to see the manager because I didn't really think a manager would do that. I turn around to another girl who greeted us with much aggression immediately and said the manager is coming but will say the same thing. I explained that she would be quick and we live out of town and really don't want to buy them if we can't try them on. She said "we'd rather you didn't buy them than try them on". I looked at my daughter who was in shock and asked her if she wanted to buy without trying since it was her money and she set them down. The girl proceeded to yell in a rude manner as we walked out. I will NEVER go back there. Scheel's will have my business from now on and I know that it truly doesn't matter to the employees at Dicks (this was clear as glass after tonight) but in case someone values even the basic in customer service, I'm sharing this review. I am still just shocked by all of this!!
