The cottages aren't fancy, and could use a little updating -- but they were clean, comfortable, and served our purposes. It looked like there was some good fishing (we're not fishing folks). What blew us away were the sunsets, misty mornings on the lake -- watching swans, herons, ducks, and (one night) bats!

Complete with lakefront property with two piers to dock boats and jet skis, a giant sandbox, fire pit, and a great yard area for outdoor activities such as wiffle ball and bean bags these seven cottages are a second home to us and our family. Though old and rustic these cottages are charming and provide comfort for the duration of our stay. Tubing, skiing and boating are some favorite activities for everyone. Coloma provides great restaurants, shops, and even a very affordable movie theater. Paw paw lake is a clean, good size lake for all water sports alike and perfect for relaxing boat rides. The view of the stars from the fire is magnificent. The owner is sweet and accommodating for all. For our annual two week stay, there is no place we would rather be.

I really enjoyed the blueberry picking (and eating ) I paid an extra $25 to rent a grill rack for our fire. I don't think this should be charged as this is a luxury resort. I did appreciate all the plates and cutlery that was given for our special dinner. Overall, we had a wonderful stay in our cabin (yes, wonderful AC). I really enjoyed the bikes that the resort provides. Riding around the blueberry fields was a very peaceful and bonding experience. This resort was a wonderful experience for my family. I don't think any of us will ever forget our stay.

I called the owner, Jacob, and he was right there in minutes. We came up with a plan and he let me use his welder and grinder to get my spring shackle, and broken frame (grand design) fixed back up and for me to get on the road. So absolutely friendly and helpful.

This is the single nicest campground that I've had the pleasure of visiting in the last three…read moreyears, since I started camping regularly again. While the previous occupiers of our site hadn't bothered to clean up after themselves, we got it done quickly, and it was no big deal. Always, always, ALWAYS leave your camp site cleaner than when you arrived is our immutable, unbreakable rule. Bethany and Gregory, the owners, are absolutely wonderful hosts; incredibly friendly, hardworking, and welcoming. The site itself was absolutely gorgeous. We chose a primitive site, as we roll heavy with a full solar power array and bring our own water. We were tucked far enough back to give a fair bit of privacy, but were also lucky enough to be near the porta potties, which, trust me, at 4:00 AM, is a very nice perk to have. We were in Spots 3-4, from August 12-18, 2022. Thanks, Gregory and Bethany - you guys were absolutely fantastic! All the basic necessities are included: coffee maker, toaster, microwave oven, stove/oven, refrigerator/freezer and all the cookware, dishes & utensils. Several golf courses and a driving range in the area, the closest an eight-minute drive. Horseback riding, winery tours and road biking from your doorstep to a few minutes away (email me for any specifics you need). Plenty of restaurants (The Rock restaurant is a short 2 min. walk from our door to theirs) and entertainment in Marcellus/Lawton/PawPaw (pubs, restaurants, movies, bowling, ice cream barns, antique shops). Two hour drive from downtown Chicago (unless you leave during Friday rush hour), approximately one hour to Notre Dame/South Bend, 15 minutes to Paw Paw, 30 minutes to Western Michigan University and Kalamazoo. 10 minutes to Swiss Valley Ski Resort, 40 min drive to Timber Ridge Ski Resort.
