Do not use them. I pay monthly for a home warranty on my house that covers the furnace. They hired McCormick to fix my furnace. McCormick came to inspect the unit and said it couldn't be repaired and I needed to replace the entire unit for $6k even with the warranty. Just had another company come by today and their tech fixed it in 2hrs for $468 with ZERO part replacement. Savings of $5.5k. McCormick is either incompetent or intentionally trying to scam people and companies. read more

I contacted this company through my American Home Shield warranty for AC service. When I called on a Friday morning, they claimed no availability until Monday afternoon. However, the moment I mentioned I could pay a $250 after-hours fee, they suddenly had an opening that same day at 3 PM. This immediate change felt manipulative and profit-driven. The technician diagnosed a leak in my system and immediately recommended full replacement rather than repair, stating they would only replace, not fix. After several days of back-and-forth with the warranty company for pre-authorization, I received a quote requiring $4,400 out-of-pocket for just the evaporator coils and condenser unit. When I contacted my warranty company for clarification, I discovered the $4,400 was solely for "bringing things up to code"--the warranty was actually covering the cost of the new unit itself. This felt deceptive, as the company never clearly explained this breakdown. I sought second opinions from multiple local vendors, and every single one told me the pricing was drastically inflated and appeared designed to maximize profit at my expense. I have zero trust in this company's integrity or transparency. I ultimately hired a different contractor to complete the work properly. Not recommended. read more

This visit was for an annual check-up. Lex called about 10 mins before arriving to give us a heads up. He was thorough, quick and efficient. He also took the opportunity to explain how our fairly new heater functions and the importance of checking the filter every few months to prolong the life of the heating unit. He was upbeat and easy to chat with. And you surely can tell that he loves what he does and he loves sharing useful knowledge with customers. Great job, McCormick! Electrician was dispatched to my home through the home warranty contract. This was to repair some electrical issues found during home inspection. The warranty did not cover the repair. I asked the electrician to price a few more things I want done in the home. Electrician sent an estimate and then completely disappeared. No follow up no text. No phone call, nothing. I contacted the electrician three times asking when they could return to do the work. No response. Very unprofessional. I do not recommend this company. read more

Very sketchy operation. On the phone professional. Service tech showed up confrontational and without tools! Had no clue how to address the system - after I describedd the setup to the offie prior to scheduling. Gave them $100 beforee they would dispatch. After several minutes of head scratching, scketchy service dude is told to leave by his office. Totally unprofessional and probably totally unqualified. Asked off ice for $100 back -- nope. Nick came out to fix our heating as it is getting colder and the furnace didn't work. He diagnosed and fixed the problem very quickly with great professionalism and a very positive attitude! My air conditioner went out. It was in the 90s. It did take a week to get appointment. But when Chris showed up he was friendly professional and courteous. He assessed the problem rather quickly had the the parts with him to repair. Problem was solved in a short period. I am pleased and would use them again. Only reason not 5 star was the delay getting the appointment. A week without air in mid 90s is terrible Especially because we have 2 German Shepard's For 2 nights had to stay at an air conditioned apartment. read more

This company installed our furnace. Less than 2 years later in the winter, it stopped working. We called to have them come out and look at it, and they won't return our calls or services requests on the website. Went with Lions service. They answered the phone and came out the same day. read more

What a nightmare working with McCormick heating and cooling has been! Last winter in the beginning of November my boiler quit working. McCormick came out and inspected it. They said it could not be fixed and the boiler had to be replaced. They had to order the boiler. My boyfriend who has no knowledge in boilers or hvac replaced a part that he bought from ace hardware and it took less than 30 minutes. Fast forward to begining of August McCormick called and said they had my boiler in. I decided to go ahead with the replacement because if my old boiler went out I did not want to be almost a year without heat while waiting for a boiler! Big mistake. The communication is extremely poor. They originally said they had the job scheduled for 3 consecutive days. After they were one day into the install they scheduled the next day for days later. At that time they told me they had me in the schedule for that day and the following day. Nope pushed it out another day. Yesterday the install was supposed to be complete. I heard nothing! I tried to use my heat last night. Boiler is on makes a really weird sound but NO HEAT. Reach out to McCormick and am told the install was completed. The next appointment they have is another week out!!!!! So here we are without heat!! I would not consider an install complete until the system is tested and is working!! SO FRUSTRATING! I will be reaching out to the BBB. DO NOT RECOMMEND. read more

Nick really knows his stuff about AC systems. We have four AC systems on a large house and he was able to very quickly determine what we needed. We were concerned we would get taken advantage of by someone trying to sell us a new system or expensive parts that were not needed. Nick was referred to us by my nephew and we were glad we called! All we needed was to have one of the systems charged a bit and he offered some other suggestions on how to keep our systems running more efficiently. I highly recommend Nick if you want an honest evaluation of your AC systems. read more

Yikes! Our air conditiining went out and we had attempted to contact this company Saturday morning, August 1st. We were finally able to connect with a person this morning and its Monday! After spending a weekend in our 90 degree house, this company was unable to get to us until August 12th!!! I set an appointment, which they couldn't come for two weeks. My wife took the day off to be home for the service. They tried to call me before they came out. I didn't answer because I was at work. Rather than trying the alternate number or showing up like a professional, they took it upon themselves to go ahead and cancel my appointment. I now have a 84 degree house with an infant who can't sleep because of it. What is the point of making an appointment? They tried to put me at the back of the list instead of making it right. Good technicians, shady business practices. I was forced to use McCormick through my home warranty. Their technicians Kristopher and Nick were really good, however, when it came to installing a new gas furnace through the home warranty, McCormick takes advantage of the one supplier relationship and tacks on egregious $1,700 modification charges - nearly 50% of the cost of other vendors I obtained estimates from and that is for the entire job + furnace. The worst part about it is that McCormick (Kaile, the kind voiced receptionist, included), know they can charge whatever they want in terms of uncovered modification costs on home warranties and we (the customer) have to accept them per the warranty language. That's their warranty game. When I challenged them on the charges in terms of simply explaining what they were for, they REFUSED to clarify any of them - as if I, the prudent customer, had the audacity to better understand what I was paying for. Kaile lied a number of times and said a manager/tech would call me to explain these things, but I never heard from anyone until oddly the home warranty said McCormick didn't want the job any longer. Meanwhile, my family sat in the cold while McCormick played games with our well-being. The guilty always run, instead of standing up to their work and business practices. All Kaile and her manager had to do was have a tech explain the $1,700 worth of mods to me, but they knew their mods were garbage (as an aside, the home warranty company sent out a second opinion and that tech confirmed most of McCormick's mods were not applicable to the job). Had a great experience with this company. Came home from work and our house was really hot on a 90+degree summer day. Called the next day and Jesse came out before 10:30 of my husband's call the next morning since it was supposed to be 95 degrees that day and a house full of guests. Luckily it was just the filter , but appreciate his honesty, promptness and didn't attempt to nickel and dime us. Highly recommend! read more
