I've been to scores of Irish pubs around the world. This is the worst one. Reasons: I ordered a Black and Tan, they poured Guinness and Kilkenny in a glass with no separation and that was the end of it. I ordered fish and chips, overlooked store bought fish and soggy old chips. Rude staff, and very limited Irish menu. But the decor was nice, where you could see it through the clouds of cigarette smoke. read more

My wife, father in law and I were looking for a nice place to grab a beer and walked by this place…read more It looked promising from the front to grab a pint. Once inside we were all shocked at the size, the place is almost like a maze. Very friendly staff and great decor. The empty whiskey containers on the ceiling were pretty cool. Great spot to stop and hang out and grab a bite and a beer.

Nothing to set this place apart other than location and the service tried very hard when the place…read morewas packed with Dutch fans during the Euros. A-for effort, but it was easier to walk next door and get a drink and sneak it back to our table on the patio. Anyway, the overworked server was still friendly whenever she came by.

Das McCormacks ist ein Garant für gesellige Abende - ja, natürlich ist auch die Begleitung entscheidend! :) Es liegt super erreichbar an der Karli (Karl-Liebknecht-Straße), es gibt lecker Burger (und Salate...), sowie Snake Bite Black Sin, ein absolutes Muss! Gemütlich eingerichtet, nicht zu hell, eher im gediegenen Licht untermalt mit Kerzen, eben Pub-like, und sogar mit Zugang zum Innenhof, bzw. mit Sitzplätzen zur Karli - wer gerne regsamen Leipziger Südstadtflair beobachten will. Verdursten kann man da garantiert nicht, man wird stets bestens und vor allem freundlich umsorgt! Beim Publikum ist von allem was dabei und meistens sind auch alle prima aufgeschlossen. Wer Whisky oder Whiskey sucht wird in einer aufgeräumten, recht umfangreichen Karte auch schnell fündig. Für Whiskyliebhaber ist die Karte bzw. sind die vorhandenen Sorten noch mit Detailwissen ausschmückbar. Fazit: Tolle Pubabende sind vorprogrammiert! read more

schönes ambiente, netter Service und gemütlicher Biergarten, aber wehe man will was essen: Ich fand meinen Cheesburger einfach nur schlecht (verstehe echt die guten Beurteilungen nicht), total hart gepresstets Fleisch, fades Gemüse ohne Geschmack und Tiefkühl-Wedges dazu...na toll! Da finde ich 7,20 EUR mehr als zu teuer. Meine Freundin machte den Fehler Champignons zu bestellen...die kamen paniert und fritiert wie fischstäbchen, dazu Wedges. Staubtrocken. Zum einfach nur was trinken gehen sicher ganz nett. read more

Allein schon wegen der reichhaltigen Whiskyauswahl ist das McC einen Besuch wert. Auch die überdurchschnittlich grosse Auswahl guter Biere vom Fass hat mich überzeugt. Insgesamt ein uriges, servicefreundliches Lokal. Manchmal brauicht es zwar etwas Geduld bis der Drink geliefert wird, ist aber nicht verwunderlich wenn die laden ständig rappelvoll ist. read more
