I was sent to dr.hinze for surgery because he is a so called specialist. I was screwed around for 2…read moremonths and in the end he told me he's not excited to take me to surgery. I have been told that without surgery my Achilles tendon will rupture and I will be a cripple. At my last appt hinge advised me to stay in the boot and showed me a stretch that even hurt my husband. I'll add that in 2 months hinge never once had me take off my boot so he could examine my foot. He didn't care because my surgery didn't excite him. After an intense argument I was given a 30 dollar gas voucher and 3 sonic gift cards to leave quietly and drop my threats of medical malpractice. I took the bribe but didn't use it and now I have proof that I was in fact bribed. My primary care advised me a month ago not to see hinze and i went against that advice because i trusted the referring surgeon. Id strongly advie going elsewhere unless you want gas and a meal for two at sonic. Let me mention that hinze told me hes done this surgery before and it didnt quite turn out the way he wanted. Unprofessional and incompitent. After making myself clear that I would find a competent doctor hinge sent me a letter after my now removed review and told me he wouldn't be my doctor but urged me to find another one for the sake of my health. Luckily hinge refused to help me because of my weight or smoking history or he didn't like my insurance and I went to a surgeon my primary sent me to. Surgery is scheduled and I will have the help hinge promised for 2 months. Although I'm angry I was let down by a professional who took an oath to do no harm I'm also grateful because it led me away from him.

My elderly mother went from being active and able to drive to being completely unable to stand…read morewithin a few days. She had to be carried to the bathroom. We were alarmed and took her to the McCook clinic where they told us she has lost over 40 pounds this year. She was unable to see her regular doctor and was transferred to the ER and Dr. Blomstedt. They gave her a CHEST xray and EKG (for her legs??), then Dr. Blomstedt dismissed her. We told him we had to carry her out of the house. He said to carry her back in, that it was a social services issue and not a medical problem. His release notes said she should use a walker (she couldn't stand, much less walk). He had no empathy and simply bad medical skills. I called the clinic next day to try to work with her regular doctor. The nurse I talked to had the empathy of a potato. We told her clearly something is very wrong and that she can't be left home alone. She told us weakness is not a good enough reason to be admitted to the hospital and showed no willingness to help figure out what was wrong. We took her to Tri-Valley instead and saw Sharon Hendricks, DNP. She was everything Dr. Blomstedt wasn't; caring and wicked smart. Within the same period of time it took to get through McCook's system, mom had an XRay of her pelvis followed by a CT scan where they found large cancerous masses. Follow-up tests showed more large tumors throughout her abdomen and pulmonary embolisms. She was cared for at Tri Valley and they took away her pain. A week later she died.
