The same thing happened yesterday morning (December 4th)! The doctor is unwell again; therefore, the appointment is canceled! If he's sick, why did they confirm the appointment yesterday and early this morning? They suddenly canceled three hours before the appointment. When we contacted, they responded, "How about another doctor tomorrow?" Either the clinic is very disorganized, the staff is performing favors for other patients, or the doctor does not know how to conduct his business! How could the office or the doctor treat a new 90-year-old patient in this manner? The specialist at UCI referred him to us. This is completely unprofessional and insensitive. I chose Dr.Patrick Thompson for my annual physical on August 19, 2026, based on the positive…read morereviews I had read online. Unfortunately, my experience with the follow-up and communication regarding my lab results was very disappointing. I had my blood work done on the same day as my physical, August 19, and the results were available in my patient portal on August 20. I waited a week for the office to contact me, but no one did. I then called the office and was asked to leave a message requesting that Dr. Thompson review my results and contact me. Another week passed with no response. I then sent a message through my patient portal asking the doctor to review my results. Again, I received no response. After approximately three weeks, I made a third attempt by calling MemorialCare. I explained that I had already contacted the office twice and had still not received any follow-up. Finally, approximately one month after my results became available, I received a message through my chart. However, the response was not from Dr. Thompson. Another physician responded, stating that she was responding on Dr. Thompson's behalf. What concerned me most was the content of the message. The physician wrote: "Your ferritin level was low indicating iron deficiency and your vitamin D levels are low" and recommended that I start an iron supplement and vitamin D supplements. However, when I reviewed my actual lab results in my patient portal, my ferritin levels and vitamin D levels were within normal range. This left me very confused and concerned about why I was being told that my ferritin and vitamin D was low and that I had iron deficiency when the lab report available in my own medical chart showed a result within the stated reference range. I also found it unacceptable that I had to make three separate attempts and wait approximately a month before receiving any response regarding routine blood work from my annual physical. Timely follow-up and accurate communication about laboratory results are extremely important, especially when a medication or supplement is being recommended. Unfortunately, my experience did not match the positive reviews that initially led me to choose this doctor. I expected much better communication, follow-up, and attention to the results in my medical record. I would not recommend Dr. Patrick Thompson and I will not go to him again.

Every visit feels comfortable and welcoming--no cold clinical vibe, no rushed appointments. They actually know their patients and remember the details that matter. Another thing I really appreciate is how many services they offer under one roof. No one called me to inform me of my X-ray results. I spent almost an entire week going without knowing that my finger was actually broken badly. Severe pain made me follow up with the X ray office and I found out they informed dr Henry days ago but he didn't even bother to read the report and call me. During that week, I called the office multiple times trying to get an answer. I was repeatedly put on hold for over 20 min, told the staff was on a lunch or break, or told someone would get back to me--but I did not receive the follow-up I was waiting for. Eventually, I had to drive all the way from Newport Beach to Laguna Hills today and physically return to the office just to get an answer about my X-ray. Even after arriving, I had to wait another 20 min again before finally speaking with the doctor. when an X-ray shows a fracture, I believe notifying the patient promptly should be a priority. Finding out almost a week later that I had been walking around and using my hand with a broken finger was extremely upsetting. Based on my personal experience, this did not feel like "urgent care." The lack of communication and follow-up was unacceptable to me, and I would not return or recommend this office to others who need timely urgent medical care.

My partner was supposed to be referred to another office, but we have been going back and forth for MONTHS because the referral either wasn't sent correctly or wasn't sent at all. We were repeatedly told to wait a week, only to find out the other office still hadn't received what they needed. This should not take months to resolve. To make matters worse, my partner has dealt with Lily throughout this process, and she has been extremely rude and dismissive every time he has spoken with her. I have personally heard the way she speaks to him, and it is incredibly unprofessional. We called again today, and thankfully, whoever answered the phone was the ONLY person throughout this entire experience who deserves 5 stars. She was kind, helpful, and actually gave us all the information we needed so we could figure it out ourselves. After months of being given the runaround, it's ridiculous that we ultimately had to take matters into our own hands. At least someone finally took the time to actually help us. I've been coming to dr majer for probably about 15 years…read more.. My mother and sisters are both patients as well and we could not be happier with her. We have pretty low maintenance bills of health so really only see her once a year for a physical called a Well Woman's check but each time it is as pleasant as can be. My most recent visit was a Pap & WW check and of course those are not the most thrilling - and come with their own slight anxiety - but Dr Majer and her staff made me feel very at ease the entire time. I had a 9am apt on a Friday and I was in and out in about 30 minutes. The front desk tech took my name, insurance and pre-liminary measurements - she was very kind and friendly. Then after changing in an exam room decorated with all her USC accomplishments, Doc Majer came in and we set about our apt. She is very kind hearted and soft when asking questions and took much detail on my chart about family health developments and activity levels. This lead to talking about running with my dogs and then she made herself even more relatable by talking about her labradoodle and all the fun they've had... all while performing my WW check which was great actually as there was no awkwardness as one might expect with the examination of her lady bits. lol I trust her so much I asked for a referral doc for my husband... she was kind enough to give me two and said she'd get the results to me via email in the patient portal - the office is very tech savvy as they confirm appts with an automated system, keep computer records of wellness and offer a patient portal to give you access anywhere any time. Be aware that she is great so she is ALWAYS very busy... but that really is a testament to her greatness! I usually try to visit in January as it seems to be much more relaxed than the end of the year crunch between October-December. That is definitely their busiest time as people try to squeeze in their yearly insurance visits so make your appointments accordingly and hold them! I had procrastinated on rescheduling my WW check up all year and called early Dec for an appointment - the earliest available was today - 3 weeks later. She's great. Call now and see her next month! PS The parking structure is $1/30 mins but the general uncovered parking is free (the office does not validate). The office is on the 5th floor at the end of the hallway the right of the elevator upon exit.

She has given us great care! I only gave three stars because the office policy on emergencies has forced me to see urgent care facilities. One time I called 24 hours ahead to let them know how sick I've been and that I need to see Dr. Majer. I thought with 24 hours notice they could find somewhere to fit me in. Nope. I was told I would have to wait and call the next morning. Luckily, I got a referral to an urgent care that saw me immediately and diagnosed my strep throat and got me on antibiotics so I wouldn't be contagious to others. If I waited for Dr. Majer's office who knows what would have happened! On another emergency situation I had cut my finger very badly. It was so bad I had to totally wrap my finger in multiple bandaids and wrap to keep it from bleeding all over the place and the throbbing was incredible. I went into Dr. Majer's office early on a Friday morning, explained to the girl what had happened. She looked at me with no emotion and said that they were so busy (not one patient was in the waiting room) and there was no way Dr. Majer could see me that day.
