The dentist was nice and explained everything to me in detail about payment, however he isnt the greatest when it comes to his professtional status to dential work being done. He was suppsoe to do one of my teeth the mold tooth all the way in the back. I have had problems eith the tooth and we were trying to save the tooth instead of taking it out. In the beginnging he did say he can save the tooth. However, when he started the procedure he felt that he wasnt able to save the topth, simply because i was telling him what to do. How to numb me, because he only numbed the central nerve, which wasnt numbing the tooth it was only numbing the surrounding area of the tooth. As, soon as he put the drill next to my tooth, i still felt the pain and refused the process, until he numbed not only the central nerve of the behind the tooth but also around it and on it. So instead he said i cant do it, because i telling him how to numb the area. So after going to another dentist - and telling him a story, they said it is typical of him to that, because he is the kind that doesnt like when people tell him what to do, espically patients. If he knew that he might be able to do it, he should of never said that he can do it. After that he is blaming me and terminated me as a patient. Doesnt matter , just wanted other people to know about him.

She was not the first dentist to tell me I was grinding my teeth at night, but the first dentist who actually told me I needed a night guard. Because of her advice she literally saved my teeth! I have been lucky enough to not have many dental issues besides the grinding, but some people I have recommended to her have not been that lucky. A family member of mine saw doctor Dumanian for the first time after seeing a terrible dentist for decades, and she had to fix almost every single tooth in his mouth. He is now towards the end of his dental journey and could not be happier. She fixed what needed to be fixed, recommended him to some excellent specialists, and did some cosmetic work as well. He has perfect teeth now. In his words, she is a "perfectionist," which is exactly what you want in a dentist. The hygienist is also incredible. I personally never liked cleanings before she started cleaning my teeth because I'm used to pain, but she numbs you perfectly (no needles--don't worry just a gel) before she gets your mouth 100% clean. She also has an incredibly kind and gentle bedside manner, which is great for everyone but especially those people who tend to get nervous at the dentist. I always feel at ease in that office. Dr. Dumanian and her staff are the most brilliant, professional and kind people I have ever had the honor of letting care for my mouth. I honestly feel as if Dr. Dumanian, the hygienist and even the receptionist genuinely care about me.

The whole process was seamless and handled with the utmost professionalism. She lead me through a process, that I otherwise dread, with a smile on my face. Dr. Matlach was the most thorough dentist I have ever been to, and I have been to some amazing dentists. He explained what he was looking at and why he was looking at them. He also showed me some things I could fix cosmetically and assured me my teeth looked great and we only had to do it if I wanted. The hygienist, Genene, was so amazing and gave me a lot of tips on how to care for my teeth and what can affect them. This establishment is amazing and everyone working there was so kind and helpful. This experience turned into a nightmare. I have never been afraid of dentists as I have generally had good experiences. I take very good care of my teeth, but for some reason, I suddenly needed two filler replacements and two onlays. This is the most amount of work I have ever needed. While I thought this was crazy, I went ahead with the replacements, because I was moving in 6 weeks to yet another city and my office trusted this dentist. The dentist did some of the work and then let his assistants work on my teeth. When I left I experienced quite a bit of pain. They told me to come back in for some adjustments. I was told I would be seeing a dentist. When I got there, the dentist said hello and then the assistant worked on my teeth. Again, I left and had pain. I was at the dental office every other day for a month trying to get "the adjustments" fixed so I wouldn't have pain. I have never had to get "adjustments". In my experience, dentists have gotten their work right the first time. My last experience was my final onlay. Again after the onlay was put in I had to get adjustments done cause I couldn't chew without pain. The assistant working on my tooth didn't numb me. She drilled away hitting a nerve. I screamed in pain and tears rolling down my cheeks. I kept telling her it hurt. She said, "I know. I am sorry. I am almost done." It took nearly 3 months for the nerve pain to go away from that tooth. Another tooth continues to bother me. The dentist told me he drilled close to the nerve. He then told me, in 3 months if I still have pain I will need a root canal. Well it has been 5 months. I still can't chew on the right side of my mouth. Why the "F" do I need a root canal after seeing this dentist. I didn't need one before! I didn't even have problems with my teeth before going to this dental office. This dental office also had the audacity to bill me once more after I moved. After they told me I had everything settled. Two months after I moved, they told me my insurance wouldn't cover EVERYTHING. Awesome.. since when I was there they told me my insurance company would pay up to this and this amount. I paid the hefty remaining balance. In any case, I am now in another city... still in pain with no dental insurance and deathly afraid to see another dentist (I didn't have a fear of dentists before). I never want to experience this kind of pain again, both physically and financially.

This was the best experience I had in a dental practice. The stuff is very kind and professional. Dr Matthes has impeccable bed side manners. He explained everything and his skill proved to be outstanding. I will absolutely recommend him to all my friends and family.
