Super thankful! Let…read moreme explain why. First, I called to schedule an appointment, and the woman I spoke with on the phone was extremely pleasant and helpful. I asked for a same-day or next-day appointment as I am trying to get pregnant, and my doctor believed I had a dangerous cyst and wanted me to get an MRI with contrast on it. Well, this woman called all these locations, got the pre-approval, and worked her magic. I was extremely impressed with the customer service. The second thing that happened was when I got there I got all setup and the NP I believe found out I was looking to get pregnant and was concerned that the cyst may not be a cyst and could be a follicle since it was over a month since not getting my period. She did a normal preg test but it was neg but it could be just that I was early. The thing that I loved was that she was so concerned and understood what my concerns were and asked that I come back a different day after my blood work came back with a negative preg test. I am so I'm[dressed that she was truly concerned and thought what was best for me. I feel so comfortable and thankful for people looking out for others and not proceeding with something that could harm a baby if this were to be done... so Kudos to that NP! I really appreciate you !

I absolutely do NOT recommend this urgent care. Not long ago I went there for a sinus infection. I…read moresaw a PA who prescribed a 10 day course of Zythromicin and a prescription antihistamine in pill form. Nothing ever cleared up completely, but I kept thinking by the time I finished the antibiotics it would. Within a few days of that, my infection was back. I returned to MedRite and saw the same PA. She then put me on a 10 day course of Amoxicillin, stopped the prescription antihistamine and told me to take Sudafed and breathe in hot steam. No nasal sprays of any kind were either prescribed nor recommended. Within 3 days of finishing those antibiotics, my sinus infection came back worse than ever. So I returned. After telling the receptionist that I had been there twice for this problem which had come back, I really needed to see someone. A friend had been surprised that steroids had never been given to me, and I mentioned this to the receptionist, that perhaps all I needed now was a steroid spray. The receptionist (not a medical provider) then told me they would not see me, and to find an ENT doctor. I was stunned. This was late on the Thursday afternoon before Easter weekend. I do not have an ENT physician, I recently moved to the area, and I informed her of that. It would be impossible for me to get an appointment with a specialist so quickly right before a holiday weekend, and I needed help now. She shrugged, and continued to refuse. I asked her to please go and talk to one of the PA's or doctors inside. She very grudgingly did that, was back out in about 20 seconds and said they refused to see me and to find an ENT. I was speechless. I walked out without another word, and drove to a different urgent care. After explaining to a physician there (not a PA like at MedRite) what I had experienced over the last few weeks, he prescribed two nasal sprays - a steroid and an antihistamine, as well as another course of antibiotics, Doxycycline. It finally worked, and I owe it to the fact that he prescribed the nasal sprays, which MedRite never did. I have never in my life experienced an urgent care refusing care to someone. Especially since the sole reason I was there for the third time was their own fault! It's shameful, and I would never walk into that place ever again.

Northwell Imagining of Smithtown has impressed me very much with their covid precautions. They…read moreput social distancing and everyone is required to use hand sanitizer and wear masks. Everyone working here was really nice and really professional. The scans were read quickly and results reported to my doctor in a timely manner. I would definitely recommend Northwell Imaging of Smithtown, especially during the time of covid.

The phlebotomist was great, the billing is terrible…read more The bill was over 3 times the price quoted to me in the lab, costing hundreds of dollars more, even though both prescriber and lab were in-network. They plead ignorance that the insurer wouldn't pay for one of the labs, but who else would know? Had they told me the true price ahead instead of some made up number, I would have been equipped to make an informed decision. Nor would they negotiate the cost down - the price is the price even though they don't tell you what the price is.

Went to this location to get containers for sampling. Return said samples and come to find out or at least what they tell me, I did sampling that was not ordered and I have to do one more sample and come back. I made a complaint and these people have no customer service skills. Rude to say the least like its my fault and not your incompetence. I actually have to call my doctor to verify what was ordered for them. They can't read or they lost my script in one day. Amazing!
