I tried to find tables to put our food on but apparently this theater did not come with them or I was doing something wrong. The chairs were comfy but I thought it being an IMAX for the Little Mermaid that the chairs would at least recline. Too bad all theaters cant be the same since the movies are technically new still while in theaters. Although the person that brought our food was really nice and asked if we needed anything else....you should have brought napkins. I should not have to say anything. These should come with every meal whether its just popcorn, soda and especially with burgers and pizza. I am wondering if there is a way that since people pay what they do for the movies...so we don't have to leave the theater to fill up our cups if we could somehow call from the seat...push a button and someone will come and fill our drinks and take care of us...that would be awesome...but then if this were put into place it would cost even more. The MAC goes for both "traditional" theater as well as cutting-edge productions. The directors work with local talent to help them grow into the best artists they can be at that moment in time. I'm continually impressed by the high quality of performances. Especially when I remember that the cast and crews are volunteers! I'm saddened to read James M's experience and I hope he talked with the MAC management about what happened. I found from personal experience the staff to be inclusive and respectful, and to be very receptive when there's a problem. My two cents -- great community art center!

The Opera house is clean with little to no trash in the seats making it easier to relax and enjoy they show. The inside is smaller than you would imagine, but they make up for it with adding a second row with booth seats. They also did a good job with keeping a wide area in the seats so you don't have an awkward situation on standing up and having a stranger push onto you, because there's enough leg room for you to stand up. The directors make the show fun and interact with the guests, for example tonight they had a give away if they reached 100 likes on Facebook, but even though they did not they still gave the prize away!

We made the drive over to Junction City and are so glad we did. We didn't actually see the theater, as the jazz concert was held in the lobby. The group performing was Wayne Goin and Friends and the music was fantastic. There was a $5 suggested donation at the door, free popcorn, and snacks, beer and wine also available by donation. There was a good sized crowd for a small, community theater in Junction City. There was a tv in the lobby with scrolling announcements of upcoming events and it looks like they have a little of everything...musicals, comedy, dance, and productions for children. If I lived in Junction City I'd definitely take advantage of the events this little opera house is offering.
