She is not professional and charges you for even taking a breath. Tonight, she sent an impersonal mass email letting my partner and 30+ other people know that she is "down sizing" (letting clients go). She didn't even have the courtesy to respect people's privacy when she shared everyone's email addresses and names. Our bad experiences began during the 2015 tax year. When she started working on my parter's taxes, in the middle of the tax season, she made us drop everything and process and extension with the IRS (she charges for the time). After that, she left us in the dark to go celebrate her anniversary. I understand work-life balance, but professionalism is expected when one is paying a CPA. Specially since taxes is one of those topics people are touchy about. 2016 was a nightmare with her too. My partner was trying to move on from a previous tax entanglement with his ex. Katy kept delaying submitting my partner's taxes until October (but only because of the IRS deadline). I felt she was like a kid doing her homework the night before the presentation... I've been telling my parter to let her go anyway. My CPA is way more efficient and my taxes are more complicated. Despite all, we thank her for work and wish her the best with her new clientele

This past year, something happened where they have lost their filings and no one was contacted until my parents got a letter from the IRS telling that they will take possession of their property and bank assets for not filing a return even when it was written that a late filing would occur. Could you imagine the fear and anxiety elderly people get when such a letter is mailed by registered mail to them? He might be knowledgable but his tactics in doing business needs a second look at. If I had done any person wrong I definitely would not charge them and on top of that pay for the late fees. Bill finally sent it in and my parents had to pay for penalties and his bill. I called and asked that they be given a discount since they were seniors and they had nothing wrong to do with this filing. Since they received no discount and still had to pay a late fee to him, I have decided to write this review. I am spreading the word about this terrible injustice.

The whole reason to go to a CPA in the first place is the expectation that they would do their due diligence. It is one thing to make an accounting mistake in the returns but how could they forget to file the returns? I have never experienced such blatant incompetence with any service in my life, much less with something as crucial as Tax returns! Add to this I opted for the peace of mind service and I got the exact opposite of what I paid for. I actually regret having to even give the one star. This business deserves -5 stars if possible. When they tried the fix it a whole year later they wouldn't even pay for priority mail and would have me pay for tracking and postage if I wasn't going to chose the traditional mail. 2016 was the first year I even chose to go to an accountant instead of doing it myself online specifically because it was a year where I wanted to be particularly safe in my filings. This is such a disastrous turn that I am completely enraged with their conduct and their lackadaisical attitude towards their customers. Here's an advice for anyone considering going here, run!
