More bad news for consignors at Savvy Sister…read more.... Previously, you had to go in person during a narrow window to pick up your check (per the contract). Now, without notifying consignors or changing the contract, they've switched to mandatory direct deposit with a $2.50 processing fee tacked on. So consignors essentially have to pay to receive the money from their own sold items. (Note: this was not mentioned when I was in the store..... I was simply told they switched to direct deposit and would receive an email to set it up). I've never had to pay a fee for direct deposit anywhere else, so it feels like this is just another way for the store owner to squeeze more money out of consignors from their own sold items.
