I had been casually shopping for vacation homes for over two years but was so far unsuccessful in…read morefinding that dream home that checked the majority of my boxes. I had engaged perhaps a half dozen agents in various regions and across four States. Then enter Eileen Stevens. What a fortunate encounter as I stumbled upon what is most likely the best buyer's agent in the Pike County PA area. After one or two showings, my Sister who was assisting texted me "She's a keeper!" After a series of rapid-fire questions, Eileen boiled down my wish list and focused my attention on a curated list of options on the market and the areas of most appeal. A few weeks later, my dream house comes on the market and Eileen sprung in to action, put on her buyer agent boots and coached me through to a winning bid. After assembling what proved to be the most ideal team of inspectors, title company, etc. we ended up closing in just over two weeks. Anyone out there that is looking for an agent, if you can manage to get on Eileen Stevens much sought-after list, you will be in expert hands. Not only did I find my dream vacation home, but I also found a new family friend in the process.

Our agent Edie Duncan failed to represent us adequately on the sale of our home. A few of her…read morefailings are as follows. She failed to list the property in the timeframe provided by her own contract. She created nonsensical property descriptions with inaccuracies and an unexplainable number of capital letters, for some ungodly reason. She became fixated on generating a stupid virtual tour of the property but then neglected to post anything other than potato-quality photos of the home. She would show up to the property unannounced, and schedule showings/open houses without checking with us first. She never bothered to put a lock box on the door and instead left the key "hidden" on the back porch. She failed to respond to numerous voicemails, emails, and text messages. And when she would deign to respond, she would only respond to my spouse (despite me asking the question) and simply screenshot messages from the buyer's agent without context or explanation. She failed to provide direction or guidance with respect to offers, and she provided factually inaccurate information with respect to the contingent offer that we took. She failed to provide accurate times for appointments, resulting in the buyer and his agent showing up at our house unannounced. She had the audacity to try to sneak an additional $500 "brokers fee" into our closing costs, despite all of the above. I could go on, but nobody has time to read my flame novel. Suffice it to say, this person is utterly useless as real estate agent. Fortunately, our house showed well, so we ended up with an offer that was adequate. However, the fact that this person and this agency took 22.5k of our proceeds by doing almost nothing makes my skin crawl. I will never work with a realtor to sell a home again. Just sell it yourself; you'll end up doing all the work anyway.

She sold my cabin in Sullivan County for over asking price. She did everything she promised when we met, and more. She personally oversaw every aspect of the listing, from the incredible still and drone photography that accompanied the ad, to showing the place to its best advantage along with providing local knowledge and history to prospective buyers. Donna kept me updated throughout the process. If I emailed or texted her, I had a response within minutes. Once the cabin was sold, she even offered to personally come by and help me move out anything I would have trouble getting out by myself. Over the course of owning the cabin I have gotten to know a number of local tradesmen - plumber, electrician, landscaper, etc. Every one of them knew her, and each one remarked on how sharp she is. They had nothing but respect for her and went out of their way to tell me I couldn't have chosen a better person to work with. This combination of local knowledge, stellar reputation, great sense of people and properties and just being a wonderful person to work with make her absolutely unbeatable. I simply cannot recommend Donna highly enough.

From start to finish, Alyssa was the best real estate agent we could have ever imagined. We used…read moreher services on both the buying and selling sides. We first spoke over the phone in February 2018 and she just seemed to get it - what we were looking for, how we wanted to go about our search, and how we wanted to go about selling our home. She was just as warm, personable, and professional when we met her in person. She is a mom too so completely understood our limitations in regards to time and childcare. Alyssa told us she started in real estate after she had a bad experience herself. We also had had a bad experience when we bought our first home. This experience was nothing like that! Alyssa was never pushy or overbearing. She was virtually always available by phone, text, or email. She was present at both of our closings (buying and selling), during our home inspection, and during our walk through on the buying side. She did several open houses when we were selling, as well as numerous showings. She is completely trustworthy and went above and beyond (she noticed we had an ant problem after we had been away on vacation and was doing an open house, so took it upon herself to place traps and fix the problem). Alyssa even gave us lovely cards and generous and thoughtful gifts when we closed on each house. And even afterwards, when we had moved in and our old house was sold, she still offered to help us by picking up mail that was accidentally delivered to our old house and delivered it to our new house! Alyssa is a top notch realtor. She is simply a lovely person who is incredibly hard working. We found our dream home thanks to her. I can not recommend her highly enough.

Alyssa is an AWESOME realtor. She has such a passion for helping her clients and she always puts…read morethem first. We started working with Alyssa in mid 2017 and as first time home buyers, we did not know anything about buying a house, where to start, what to do or what it truly entailed. Alyssa made that process so smooth and easy for us. She really zoned in on what our wants, needs, musts and desires were and sent us homes that fit that criteria. From mid 2017 - Present, we saw countless homes together. I could find a home we wanted to see and whether it was one home or 6, literally, she made arrangements for us to see based on our schedules. I cannot stress enough that she is a realtor that is on YOUR side, she is looking through the houses with you and telling you honest feedback, whether it be the condition of a hot water heater or if a home is priced more than the comparable homes in the area. She truly gets to know her clients so she can really pinpoint what is going to be a priority for them, which is truly what makes her successful. After we found the home for us, more than a year later Alyssa made the buying process so easy for us, through the offer, acceptance, inspections, attorney review, right through closing. She was there with us and available every step of the way. She helped us find a reliable and reputable attorney who advocated alongside of her for our best interests, she provided resources for companies for inspections and furthermore coordinated inspections, obtained certificates, spoke with some vendors on our behalf, basically did anything she could to help us as the buyers and make this process that is overwhelming to first time home buyers much easier. Alyssa went to the house to facilitate appointments without disrupting my time at work. She was present all all inspections, she insisted on a final walk through the day of closing to make sure all was in order for us and attended the closing with us. She was so sweet, she even showed up to closing with a card and incredibly thoughtful gift. Alyssa really goes above and beyond for her client. I would recommend you work with her if you want to receive the highest quality of service. She is not pushy, she is not calling you every day or pushing you to purchase a house you're not interested in, she wants whatever you want and wants to make sure in that you get what you deserve and do not get taken advantage of. Providing her clients honest information and feedback and ensuring they aren't getting taken advantage of is something Alyssa feels very strongly about, being that when she was house hunting personally, her real estate agent didn't provide that service to her. After encountering a number of issues, she wanted to make sure what happened to her didn't happened to anyone else. Anyone with that much passion and dedication to make a difference in others lives says a lot about the kind of person she is. Alyssa has a positive energy about her and again, has that passion. Do yourself a favor, work with someone who is working for you and you will not be disappointed she is truly great!! I loved working with her.
