Looks like I've got to find a new doctor. Terrible treatment to loyal patients. By the way, I called the emergency line 7 weeks after a c-section when I was bleeding through pads and puppy pads on the bed and the doctor on call told me if I was that worried about it then I should just go to the ER, without so much as a concern to call my primary doctor. I had a successful & healing VBAC after a very traumatizing first birth with my son in LA. I could make this review very long but will try to keep it short. I knew I wanted midwife care when I got pregnant again, and did some research, and found Nativiti. I loved that they were so research focused and caring, and it was a huge plus that they took insurance as well! My care at Nativiti did not feel intimidating, nerve wrecking or rushed. It's easy to get a hold of a midwife if you need to, and I also love the fact it's private practice and very woman & family focused. I felt so heard & cared for in a way that I never did with previous doctors. My delivery was surprisingly quick - 40min if active pushing and my son was out. Birthing in their tub was so comfortable & I felt at ease there. I had the birth of my dreams here & hope other moms will consider having their babies here. You will be in excellent hands. I was visited by a midwife in my house 48hrs after birth to check on me and baby. I also had post natal appointments at 2 weeks and 6 weeks. I'm grateful for such a smooth delivery & postpartum recovery.

Their team worked together so seamlessly, creating an atmosphere that was peaceful, encouraging, and full of love. Because of Jami and her team, I was able to welcome my beautiful boy into the world in the most positive, empowering way. Follow-up visit, to discuss bloodwork results, additional $100. 2. Willingness to work with patient. After requesting a letter of medical necessity, required for my health savings account the response was, "Yeahhh, we don't do that. If you want a copy of your medical records that's $25." 3. Quality of Care. During review of my bloodwork I had to explain importance of being in the "optimal range" versus the "normal range". (This was explained to me at the League City location which is now closed)

I scheduled an appointment seeking compassionate guidance for a VBAC (vaginal birth after cesarean). To my surprise--and dismay--Dr. Michael D. Kelly and his nurse practitioner denied me service without even reviewing my medical history. My last C-section was six years ago, yet instead of taking the time to listen, Dr. Kelly dismissed my request outright. As a patient, I expect at least a thoughtful conversation. Instead, I felt rushed, unheard, and judged--like I was being penalized for asserting what I believe to be a reasonable birth plan. The nurse practitioner's bedside manner only deepened my frustration; their off-putting demeanor made an already stressful moment feel untenable. At the very least, I hoped for professionalism and empathy. What I encountered felt the opposite. Seeking a respectful discussion about VBAC shouldn't result in denial of care--but here, it did. Disappointing indeed.
