I do NOT recommend MC Granite due to the numerous issues I experienced. Some of the major issues include: our slabs were moved to a location further away from us for no reason. Then after arriving for one of our planned layout meetings, we could not see the slab because it was unavailable. After finally having the layout meeting, one part of the backsplash was installed upside down and another part was cut from a different section without notifying us. After so many issues, I shared with them my concerns and they admitted fault and reduced the bill some. I have never written a review before for a product or company (good or bad), but I do not want anyone to suffer this type of customer service that I encountered at MC Granite. read more

I would NOT recommend this company. I have nothing but issues with the install and measurements. I live in Texas and building a home in Ellijay so it was imperative to find a company I could rely on, well MC Granite is NOT the company. The counters I picked were over $80.00 a sq ft. The measurement's were done while I was in Texas and per code which I explain several times via phone to the measurer they sent out that code states 36" countertop to countertop when in an island. He did the measurements and I approved as I trusted them to do the right thing and make sure it was per code. I spoke with Cassandra several times and I was assured the measurements reflected the 36" countertop to countertop. I then approved the measurement from Texas. I traveled up to Ellijay to be there while the install was occurring, I was heartbroken and frankly very disappointed when they did not meet code on 2 sides - the installer left after 1 hour and did not complete the bathrooms nor the kitchen. Three days later I get a call saying a Surcharge was $400.00 to get them to meet code requirements. So now 12K for a very small amount of countertops as they had to take off so much was outrageous. As of today no countertops in 3 bathrooms, and kitchen island. I am exhausted with this situation and I paid them by check, bad idea. They just keep on adding charges on. Now since we had to take off so much countertop on the island I asked to make 4" backsplash - you will never guess what now, MORE MONEY! Never trust their measurements and be there when measurements are completed.I did by phone and guess what MORE MONEY! More money, more money! Yes, I approved the measurements based on their expert. RUN FROM THEM IF YOU ARE OUT OF STATE. Very disappointed, disgusted and plain tee'd off. Overpriced, bad service and at a loss of over $3000.00 on a countertop I paid SO VERY MUCH MONEY FOR! read more

MC Granite, Kennesaw location, is very unconcerned with customer satisfaction and their attitude is the customer is always wrong. Communication is very, very poor and there is little coordination with customers. This company used to be good years ago, but my recent experience was very disappointing. Company now seems to care only about the money. Will never use this company in the future. read more

Our first install by MC was when they opened their Blue Ridge location. It was for a standard kitchen and we were happy with the finished look. I read the negative reviews from 1-2 years ago and still went there for an estimate for our remodel this spring. Joy was great to work with, patient, helpful and always commuted well - whether a return call or in person. We tried them again. We added a 16 x 18 kitchen with a farm sink and bar sink cut outs and a bath vanity top for a vessel sink. There work was excellent, on time and beat two other quotes. I'm sorry to read that others have had bad experiences in the past but we've now used MC for three different jobs and would definitely use them again. read more

This company used to be my "go to" for natural stone countertops - I have used them multiple times. NOT anymore. The customer service and communication are awful. Buyer Beware - make sure you clarify about seams in an island with a sink cutout - they will want to put a seam in it. I took my business elsewhere. read more

We have used this company two times for new granite in our two different homes. For the second, they did not properly explain that they were going to be used hammers and brute force to remove out back splash, when they told us that we had to then pay to have the dry wall replaced, we were obviously upset. I called as was told "Well, most back splash removal ruins the dry wall", which mad me ever more mad because why didn't they include replacing in quote if it happens "most of the time". The owener then grabbed the phone and actually told me to "Shut the **** up". I'm not certain why anyone would want to do business with an owner that is ok with that kind of service. read more

Horrible experience. Agree with 2 of these reviews with the same experience. Countertops were measured wrong. When the installers arrived the cutout for the sink was 4" off. Installers said there was no way to make the quartz fit so they took it back. No one called and I finally called and Jason Chandler said he would come out and measure himself and let me know what could be done. Phone calls not returned again. Finally after at least 6 weeks of no sink or water they called saying they were coming out to reinstall. When I called to confirm Jason told me they had to add a seam in the middle of the bar area. I asked him why I was not consulted and he said it would have needed to be regardless. Although the seam was not there for the original install. When the installers arrived there were in fact 3 seams when there should only have been 1. Seams were not matched and it was obvious they had done a botch job to use the existing quartz to save money instead of making the job right and recut a new slab. Because I had paid in full before installation I had no recourse. There was no offer to correct such a horrible job or even a phone call to follow up. Do NOT use MC Granite unless you can withhold final payment until after installation. I did not have this choice and now have to live with this everyday. A seam right in the middle of my prominent bar area plus 2 other non-matching seams. I will advise everyone I can not to use the company because they have no integrity to do a decent job. Please use Murphy Granite Outlet or another company to save the possibility of a nightmare experience. I have videos, texts and emails to confirm that everything shared here is 100% factual!!! Initially, April and Cliff were very friendly and welcoming when the project commenced. There was granite that was leftover from another job and Mc Granite needed space for new inventory. The granite was very attractive and price was discounted for the above reasons. I was still spending $4,500 which would have been $5,500 if my husband didn't remove and dispose of our former tile countertops. Cliff said they charge $1300 for tile removal. I did ask him if he could reduce the amount a few hundred dollars since my husband removed the countries and the fee is $1300 not $1000. He said no which I understood. I wanted to be certain that the granite that I selected is what I would love for many years. I went to MC Granite's main site in Kennesaw to view their selection before finally confirming that I would select the leftover granite. The measurements were taken to begin the project. I was beyond thrilled and gave some of MC Granite staff gingerbread cookies. I contacted Cliff to inform him that I wanted a taller backsplash. We based the new 1-1/2 inch off of their "professional" measurements. The long backsplash behind the sink NEVER changed. This is shown in the template that they emailed us. Cliff was welcoming of the change which I greatly appreciated. He said that they would like to get the project done before the beginning of the year so I decided that we would select the two days before Christmas since I was ensured that the project would be done in one day. My husband said that we can't afford any mistakes since the granite is being installed two days before Christmas. We have very large gatherings for the holidays. I was ecstatic to show off our new countertops. My husband did his own measurement on the other areas that weren't behind the sink and didn't base it off of their Estimator's measurements. He let them know that the backsplash would be too tall. Cliff said that it was already cut and hopes that it fit. They got there and of course the backsplash didn't fit. Including the backsplash that was behind the sink. This area did not receive a requested change of measurement. That had to be very accurate and based on their measurements since it went under the window. Cliff tried blaming us for this immense mistake. His installer went outside where I followed and began to film the conversation. Cliff said that I requested a change on the backsplash height. His installer responded saying "the measurement behind the sink was from our Estimator's measurements and never changed. He measured it incorrectly. " I had to leave for the day and assumed that the correction would have been made immediately. We are very forgiving people and would have been very accepting of this mistake if they apologized and corrected it immediately. It goes all downhill from there. The installers CUT the cooktop cutout INSIDE of our house and didn't COVER or protect anything. I got home and was in disbelief. My husband had been working for four and a half hours on cleaning up the dust that covered all of our dishes in the cabinets. It heavily coated all of the exterior and interior cabinets, and dusted almost the whole two levels of my house. All of this was happening two days before Christmas. We spent almost two full days of non stop work cleaning up the house. I was worn-out and deeply saddened. To make matters worse, I received squared edges and not rounded!!!! We didn't have a kitchen for a WHOLE MONTH! There was no apology or compensation for this turmoil!!! We have texts that show that Cliff said he was going to come out and didn't follow through on many different occasions. They didn't correct their mistake until we decided that we were going to take LEGAL action and contacted the Company Headquarters. read more
