I thought I would flag up this American Embassy for Yelpers but I had no intentions of eating here - I mean I'm surrounded by some of the best slow food produce on earth so Mc D has no chance.
If it was Egypt, where most food is truly grim, then perhaps yes for the certainty of pretty standardised meals, but gourmet Italy, not a cats chance (whatever a cat's chance is).
I did buy 6 macaroons from this Mc D to take away - strawberry and pistachio flavours at about 65p each.
The server were real pleasant and helpful folks.
This region of southern Italy seems to be fixated with eating pistachio - it's everywhere including as a whipped cream on espresso as a topping. What I did notice in Mc D that surprised me was that no WiFi is provided - that's a first for me - I thought it would be a certainty everywhere's. I didn't find if they have toilets.
So it's about £7.75 for a Big Mac meal or add 50p to go large. A proper made espresso is is under 90p. What a shame they don't have these exquisite coffee machines thEngland and Ireland. read more
