The restaurant is lebanese but the employees appear to be syrian. The food is still good nonetheless and the prices are fair. The garlic sauce was also exceptional. I give the food quality 4 stars - everything tasted fresh, flavorful, and authentically Lebanese. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and the restaurant has comfortable tables with a nice, relaxed atmosphere (great for a casual meal or with friends/family). Overall, a great choice for tasty Middle Eastern food at reasonable prices - definitely worth a visit!

The food is so refreshing, so great for eating on a hot day. I was also amazed by the price of the food, it is so cheap for such large portions. I ate my meal for breakfast, lunch and dinner again the next day in a wrap. I actually got the appetizer platter instead of a meal but I can't imagine eating anything after that it was so filling! They also gave us complimentary tea and baklava, and before the meal some bread with dip, it was absolutely amazing. I would (and will) definitely come here again.
Hello, I am an American visiting on business. I first went here with some work colleagues and we…read moreall agreed it was a great meal. It was so good that I wanted to go again. It was easy tonight since I was too tired to trek around Wuppertal for dinner and it is literally next door. I don't get to have lamb often so whenever I see this on a menu I will usually try it. The first time I had the Lammhüfte dish and tonight the Lamm-Medaillons. Both dishes were amazing! If I remember correctly, the Lamm-Medaillons dish had a sweeter sauce than the Lammhüfte. I think I prefer the Lammhüfte as the sauce was more like a gravy and not as sweet.. For dessert, I had the Katajef. Oh my this dessert was very good. The serving size is good for two but since I am a lone traveler I had to eat both servings. I highly recommend this place. Not only is the food very good, the people are very nice. They do get busy as this is a popular restaurant so one must be patient. It might be good to know that for the non deutsch speaking customers they do have english menus and some of the servers do speak english. So this was very helpful for me and I really appreciated. Another note, they do not accept American credit cards. Also here is a link to their menu I found online if you would like translate before heading over. http://restaurant-karawane.de/speisekarten/Karawane-Wuppertal-Speisekarte.pdf Hope this review will help other non local visitors because I look for the same when I am in unfamiliar locations.

The restaurant is highly decorated with Middle East affairs and lovely setting. We had mix of starter which are all very lively...
