There's plenty going on here over the weekends, from Drag racing, Drifting Events to Race what u bring events. This particular day, it was Drift car racing. It costs £5 per adult and kids are free of charge! Not bad if u bring a picnic for a full days entertainment! There's an on site club house that sells snacks and drinks, but it is quite expensive for cans of Fosters (2.50) and Bulmers (3.50), so I suggest you take your own! Kids everywhere. People sat in your bowing alley who didn't belong. Everyone looking dazed as to what to do and how to work the bowling computer. Also it was Everyman for themselves when it came to your actual bowling ball. People didn't really care or show any respect it was more like survival of the fittest bowling experience. My little lad liked it and one bowl of 10 go's each was certainly enough and for £30 I think it was a steal. For them not us. The best bit was the games you could go on after. Although take £20 one pound coins as each game is a mini fortune. They were fun but over in no time so the excitement fix soon needed replenishing. I'm not sure i will visit again as I think there are better bowling places. Although the is now a five guys across the road and a cinema next door so I would probably visit the complex again

Imagine a Wacky Warehouse but done nicely in a lovcely rural setting! It's completely kid centred. They do mum and baby/toddler mornings every day where kids under 18 months are free and after that it's £3ish and they get toast and juice too! The rest of the day is open to all ages! They cater for parties and do special stuff at Halloween, School Holidays and Christmas, etc. They have a lovely catering facility and their menu is great. Plus fab tea/coffees and cake for mum and dad! I want a go!!

I've been to a couple of racecourses when you feel like you have to wear a hat - notably Aintree. I'm not a big fan of that. There are private hospitality suites and restaurants available for customers to relax before or during the racing. Rooms are available for small parties or huge parties up to 400 people. It's a great day or evening out even if you're not a gambler, the atmosphere is really fun and chilled out.

You might be able to crash a wedding as the venue holds up to 500 guests for banquets, balls, and wedding reception dinners. I hear they're even licensed for civil ceremonies. There are also a plethora of non race day events that you might want to put in the diary. JLS are playing there for those of you who are 13 and of the female persuasion. Other events include wedding fairs books fairs so on and so forth. I however would recommend you get yourself down for a day at one of the race days with a group of friends as it will be cheaper per head. For a two hour slot you participate in four different 'missions' and are split into two teams (Alpha or Delta). After a brief tutorial covering how the guns and sensors work, and the layout of the battlefield, the two squadron leaders take you outside for the war games to commence. The sessions included the ominously sounding 'Death Match' and the old classic 'Capture The Flag'. For one of the games the adults got to use infra-red snipers (very satisfying!!). My nephew and his 11 friends (plus us three adults) had an absolutely brilliant time, albeit we were pretty weary and ever-so-slightly muddy once the tanoy sounded at the end of the last round. The guys there were thoroughly professional and organised and had a great rapport with the kids, who all really enjoyed it and many wanted their birthdays held there too. At a standard rate of £20 per person it might sound expensive for some, especially for kids' parties, but anything that gets them outside, working in teams and having loads of fun is money well spent IMO. Tip: There is a large picnic tent on-site where you can bring your own food and drink. Tip: They can keep valuables safely locked away, but suggest you limit what you take there.

As you can imagine my confusion being a place called "Dog Bowl" and advertising as a dog friendly bowling venue, we couldn't understand why we where asked to stop just because he barked a few times, we wasted a fortune on travel, drinks and the arcade and didn't even get to do what we came for. The manager, logan who to be fair was polite enough offered us some complimentary arcade tokens which, while a nice gesture was pointless as we already spent £17 on them and give them to someone else, it was my dogs birthday too and gutted. Further to this, I emailed in expressing the issue with no response, I finally managed to get through to someone on the phone who said a manager will email/call within the next two hours, ~24 hours later I've still heard nothing nor has my refund etc gone through. I will be escalating this further and have the company reported officially.

It's really good no matter what age you are and if you want to admit it or not you do have a really good time! I went on a Saturday and it was full of kids and parties so I'd say if you are over 15 to probably go one evening when there's less children there. However even though it's really busy there is definately enough room for you to jump around! It's 100% one of the good things that have come to Bolton!
