Marcelo IS THE BEST. It is one thing to know Spanish and another thing to have the ability to successfully teach it. I have taken Spanish in high school and college and had private tutors, and nothing compared to Marcelo's approach. I think the one thing that differentiates him with any other teacher, is that he ACTUALLY CARES. This is a rare quality with instructors. I have never had such an incredible teacher. The first thing he said was I don't believe in textbooks. I fell in love with him right away because my speed of learning things was never at that pace. All my private teachers in the past checked homework in the beginning of class. Marcelo on the other hand collects it and corrects it on his own time and goes over it with you the following week. His teaching is COMPREHENSIVE having his students read books, and do transcriptions, and listening exercises. I have NEVER BEEN exposed to such learning. Concepts I've always struggled with in the past I was able to master with ease. At the beginning of every class Marcelo has a small chilled water bottle by your chair and sometimes treats. Every now and then Marcelo organizes events for his students. The hour flies by so quickly because on top of his amazing teaching skills he is funny.
