Walking into a cancer center's infusion clinic is never easy...it is by nature, a location no…read morepatient wishes to visit. However, this particular clinic transforms a challenging necessity into an experience of profound care and attentiveness. The staff's professionalism and bedside manner never waiver, setting a gold standard for healthcare. Absolute Unwavering Commitment from Start to Finish! The commitment to patient well-being starts immediately. The receptionist staff are consistently friendly and welcoming upon check-in. This lighthearted, attentive approach continues with the Medical Assistants (MAs) who prepare you for your infusion, ensuring you feel comfortable and informed. This entire team excels at personalized care, making the effort to remember your name and treating you with genuine concern. Dr. Stephanie Lindauer (medical oncologist), Dr. Naomi Sigalove (breast surgeon)! A special commendation must go to the nurses who are the heart of this center. My absolute favorites--Carmel, Susie, Linda, and Kelly--consistently make patients feel like the MVP (Most Valuable Patient). Watching this dedicated group work together as a seamless team, welcoming every patient with kindness, is truly inspiring. From warm greetings to comforting hugs as you leave, their compassion is boundless. Despite the serious circumstances, this clinic is filled with laughter and love. They go above and beyond, providing snacks for long infusion days and fostering a remarkable sense of community. This supportive environment extends to the patients themselves, who become a network of friends, advisors, and therapists, sharing helpful tips and recipes to boost immunity, your spirit and navigate treatment. The staff also understands the importance of marking milestones. They celebrate the completion of treatments with joy, providing confetti and an award, making a difficult ending feel like a hard-won victory. Knowing you are in such capable, caring hands, where there is a general concern for your health, treatment, and overall well-being, makes all the difference in the world. If you are ever unfortunate enough to need care at a cancer center, this is, without question is the one you want by your side. You can even take your infusion on the patio! Which is wonderful when you need to feel the sun on your face, the trees that are close to the building give you a level of serenity with just the touch of nature the birds, the bees, and an occasional spider. Ohhh and they will give you as many warm blankets you need!

Since then, other ladies have told me of its effects with them. I didn't notice much the first couple months, then it hit me in my right leg and forearm. Would never had taken it if I knew. I had to get physical therapy for 6 weeks to help my foot and leg, and it still isn't the same. I am very disappointed in Dr. Lindhaur for not warning me about the side effects of this medication.

I had a great first-time experience. Yes, they are expensive (expected) and I am lucky to have insurance. They flew my partner and I out and arranged the hotel stay, which is discounted for CTCA patients. I came for follow up scans and found the nurses and staff to be very friendly and informative. My doctor was kind and thorough. I also saw a naturopath who ordered blood tests and advised me on supplements and diet. Everything is geared to keeping the patient calm and relaxed, and they do a fine job. The facilities are easy to navigate and very clean. The cafeteria food is meh, but decent and affordable. Shuttle drivers were pleasant. I'm happy to say I have nothing negative to report. I hope my future interactions are just as pleasant.

I had lost all trust. I had a stage 3 breast cancer diagnosis - the conventional medical system…read morehad let me fall through the cracks and left me so traumatized and jaded there was no way I could trust them with more "conventional treatment". For two years I struggled on my own doing everything I could to give my body a fighting chance, with no support system, no doctor that would give me the time of day. I didn't follow their advice... so I guess it was either their way... or the highway. I was alone and out of my depth and getting more and more anxious that I was going to die. My mom asked me if I had heard of Sunridge Medical Center in Scottsdale, AZ. I had not and had not really considered traveling so far away to seek medical care, but after watching the patient testimonials and initially discussing my situation over the phone - I just felt like Sunridge was the place I needed to be. That was on a Saturday, I was on a plane Tuesday. It was nerve racking for me to meet Dr. Franco, was he just going to be another callous doctor that would treat me like I was stupid and not really listen to what was important to me? I had my guard up, I had been through so much at that point and I was no longer going to blindly trust another doctor. I remember telling him, "I need you to understand that I am here to participate in my own healing and I am not looking to be told what to do, this is my life and my health, and the only way I can go forward is for both of us to understand I want to collaborate to get to the bottom of this and find a way out". That took a lot of guts to be that up front and candid - but I had been victimized, bullied, terrified... and let down by other doctors - and I wasn't going to let that happen again. Dr. Franco didn't miss a beat - I guess he's probably seen and heard it all. He asked me to tell him my story - I asked, "since my diagnosis, or before?" and he said, "tell me your story from the point in time you think it is relevant". So I did. I learned more about my health in the few hours we spent together than I had the rest of my life. For the first time I felt supported, understood, heard and cared for. I felt like I was important, not just one of many patients. That was just the beginning of my care and experience with Dr. Franco and Sunridge Medical - and it just got better from there. I had traveled from Indiana to be under Dr. Franco's care - leaving my family behind. Although this was challenging in some regards, I found it healing in others regards. Sunridge Medical Center is an intimate operation - this enables them to have a great bedside manner - no one falls through the cracks and the staff earnestly gets to know you and care about you. I know it sounds totally cliche... and you'll hear folks say they treat you like family... but that is what I experienced, and what I needed. Through Dr. Franco - I learned to trust again. He was right there when I needed him - he never pushed me to do anything I didn't want to do - but he would gently urge me to considered some conventional treatments in addition to the incredible treatments he had formulated... He was opened to what ever would give me the best possible outcome - conventional / alternative - he wasn't attached the methods so much, as he was the outcome for the patient. I hate to think where I would be today without Sunridge, and owe a lot to my mom for finding the clinic, and much, much more to Dr. Franco and his incredible staff for taking baby steps with me so I could regain not only my health and trust, but my peace of mind.

In the middle I was called by someone named Vonda from the Boswell office who tried to get me to continue with my 2024 health insurance into 2025 for their convenience, using various lies involving illegal practices she said were employed by new insurance companies. Then I endured a painful "simulation" without information regarding what to expect, music, blanket, or, most importantly, regard for my slightly dislocated shoulder joints. No alternative to standard positioning was offered or tried, and I was treated like a child. Be advised there are no female technicians at this site, so women with breast cancer have to be subjected to rough handling and breast manipulation by males. After another two hours of attempted positioning for treatment in a painful position due to my shoulders, I had still had no radiation treatment. I then transferred to the Boswell location, and was very effectively and compassionately cared for by a radiation therapist named Danielle, who completed the treatment very efficiently.
