Our children were 2 and 4 at the beginning and throughout our time at Goddard, teachers and the leadership team have been dedicated and strong partners in building a school community that is enriching, encouraging and educational for all students. Goddard teachers are exceptional, they make a concerted effort to develop relationships with their students and their families, and day to day activities are thoughtful, engaging, and focused on learning. Our kids often had much to say about what they did at school that day and we greatly enjoyed seeing their photos and the outline of their day through the Tadpoles application. The Goddard leadership team was always accessible and available. Their commitment to consistent and transparent communication was something we valued and certainly, as we progressed through different stages of the pandemic, their frequent updates and willingness to listen and discuss policies and actions taken speaks to their integrity and interest in keeping students in class and well. Beyond the staff, the Goddard facility is impeccable, it's clean and fully furnished with books, toys, and learning resources. While our time at Goddard is ending, we are so glad to share our family's experience, and encourage all seeking child care to visit, take a tour, and meet the staff.

Parents ask me all the time which school gets the most out of their students. My answer is always the same; NAPS. This is the best run, most efficient, and nicest school you'll ever come across, period. I don't know much about how tuition works or any of that but I'm sure it's expensive to send your child here and for good reason, you get what you pay for. The quality of the education your son or daughter receives stands head and shoulders above the rest. I'm not saying other schools in the area are garbage or anything like that. I'm not putting other schools down let me be clear. Just that in my years of experience working with kids in after school, the teachers and administrators at NAPS do a better job than most. If you care about your child's future then definitely check this school out. I give them two thumbs up!

Both of my children…read moreattended - my daughter from ages 2 to 4 and my son from 1 to 2 - and I cannot recommend them enough. From day one, the teachers at Learning Tree made my somewhat shy child feel safe, loved, and encouraged. My daughter had a speech delay, and the patience, support, and encouragement she received there helped her so so much. They don't just focus on academics or rigid schedules; they teach kindness, social skills, and everyday life lessons that are just as important as ABCs and 123s at this stage. More than anything, the kids are genuinely *LOVED* - and that makes all the difference. As a working parent, I truly could not have had my career without the trust and peace of mind that Learning Tree provided. They are very reasonably priced, and the new (in 2025) owners and management of the building are just as wonderful as the teachers - professional, kind, and supportive. In 2025 they did a ton of renovations with all brand new floors, classroom toys & supplies, and a brand new outdoor playground with a new fence. Payment is simple and stress-free through their online portal, and the app they use makes communication effortless. Getting pictures and videos throughout the day was such a gift...it warmed my heart to see my kids smiling, playing, and learning in real time. They use a key fob system to enter the building and you have to go through multiple check-points, it is very safe. Before finding Learning Tree, we tried other daycare options in Annapolis that felt cold, too strict, and more like a prison for toddlers than a nurturing environment. Learning Tree was the complete opposite - warm, family-oriented, and rooted in decades of experience. The teachers are unmatched, which is why they've been trusted by families for over 30 years. At the end of the day, these are children - they don't need to learn rocket science, they need to feel LOVED, supported and SAFE. Special shoutouts to Miss Yolanda and Miss Dominique, who went above and beyond every single day. Their dedication, warmth, and love are the heart of the Learning Tree community. If you're looking for a daycare that understands what children need, and will genuinely take care of them as if they were their own - then The Learning Tree is it. I cannot recommend them enough!

The teachers greet our daughter by name each morning, and it's clear they truly care about each child as an individual. She's come home each day brimming with stories, songs, and new things she's learned--not to mention the adorable art projects we now have proudly displayed all over the house. Watching her blossom socially and emotionally in such a nurturing space has been so reassuring. She's made real friendships and grown in confidence, and I credit so much of that to the gentle, encouraging environment this preschool provides. Communication with the staff has been amazing too--thoughtful updates, photos, and genuine interest in how she's doing. It's one thing to know your child is safe... it's another to know she's truly happy. This place gives us that peace of mind every single day.

In regard to the other review, the camp handbook notes they send all food wrappers and waste home and do not dispose at camp. My son's school was the same so do not find this to be odd in any way. As for timing, part of the experience is the facilitated free play and with kids joining and leaving disrupts their play, also similar to my son's Montessori setting.

WARNING- the camp is cancelled if there is threat of thunderstorms with NO reimbursement! i requested to pick up my children 30 minutes early for a doctors appointment and was told no- that I could either pick them up at 1 during the porta pot break or at 4 when camp ends. So in order to make it to the doctors, it meant 2.5hrs that I had to find care for my child during my work day. Two of my kids arrived to camp with a lollipop (not great i know, but trying to accommodate the 9am pickup with an 8am work start means things slip!) and was told lollipops were not allowed and they didn't have a trashcan to throw it away in! the owner of the camp tried to tell my son to put it on the seat in my car! so i paid $1275 for my three kids to attend camp and they could not accommodate an early pickup, wouldn't throw away a lollipop they wouldn't allow, and they had to stay home today due to potential thunderstorms that so far have not come to fruition. I've had the kids in this camp for 3 years bc I wanted them to have different experiences and they take toddlers, but I'm really frustrated and disappointed in the lack of accommodation and lack of value for the cost. we will certainly not be going back. save your money! there are tons of great camps around that are less expensive and tons of fun with great, accommodating staff.

The campus is beautiful (see: Carroll House), though the school itself could use some updating. The teachers are adequate, it's just as cliquey as every private school out there, most of the kids have an overinflated sense of entitlement, and the programs (art, music, etc) are pretty much non-existant. The benefits are the small environment--you really get to know everyone in your class, your teachers, principals (which can be good or bad, lol), etc, the close-knit community, the whole God thing (if you're into that), the uniforms (my favorite part of a private school, and I'm not even kidding. I miss those damn things!). If it's your deal, give it a try. Going to the elementary school makes getting into the high school super-easy, and the high school, while a joke, looks good on a college app.
