GI department booo, booo. I am suspect to have pancrease issues, the Dr. Ha thinks it's from doxycycline. I have 2 dialated ducts the double duct sign. Bilirubin in my urine, proteins 30ml in my urine, ketones in my urine, borderline, upper abdominal pain constant. Hurts to eat...not eating bloodwork shows, starvation. And she set me up with an upper endoscopy and colonoscopy?? I had to force the mcrp which I don't even think Im getting because I want to switch doctors they won't let me? It's my money, my body, my insurance. Beware the GI department. Allotted doctors give seen thete top notch. But not GI. Go somewhere else for GI issues if you wanna live.

Had a coffee and breakfast here and it was good. 2 eggs, potatoes and 2 strips of bacon with water. They had more options but just wanted a basic breakfast.

Ask the Community - Mayo Clinic

Do you take Medicare patients fort diagnosis and treatment?

Yes they do!

I'm going in late June to see Dr Carter for my neurological issues than no one here in Vegas, including the Lou Ruvo Cleveland Clinic can help me. Do you think this is a good place to go or just go straight to Barrow?

Depends on your condition. I have been impressed with the Neurology department, but seriously unimpressed with all other aspects of the campus. I hope you were able to find the care needed for your condition.

Any info about Mayo labs or MRSA rates?

I want here for chronic migraines. My neurologist was Daniel Smoots. He asked many questions, was…read moreextremely attentive, allowed me time to explain everything relavent, gave me many treatment options he explained great especially when I asked for more detail, and was very helpful in getting referrals and medication I needed. It was also very easy to contact him via the honorhealth website when I needed to change the location for my MRI. I arrived late because of something entirely out of my control, and I was so worried I wouldn't be able to get seen. Despite my stress the office staff were helpful and got me in anyways.

I would never recommend this facility to anyone. If you are experiencing a true medical emergency,…read moreyou will not be treated safely or fairly. I arrived at the emergency department under extreme physical distress with a suspected bowel blockage, severe cramping, and dehydration. I was forced to wait for over four hours in a lobby packed with visibly ill patients who were completely ignored. The staff did nothing but check initial vitals and then left everyone stranded, repeatedly saying "we will have a bed when it's available" with zero updates for hours. When I calmly approached the front desk to ask for an update after watching multiple miserable patients give up and walk out, the clerk gave me a massive attitude. She dismissively told me the ER is split into "trauma" and "regular" departments. A progressive internal blockage carries a high risk of life-threatening complications and should have been prioritized promptly, but they treated it like a minor inconvenience. Because my condition was actively worsening and the staff showed a complete lack of urgency, I was forced to leave for my own safety. When I told them I was leaving, they didn't even offer a basic apology. Instead, they literally threw an Against Medical Advice (AMA) liability paper at me to sign. I had to risk my own safety driving nearly 30 minutes in severe pain to find a facility that actually cared. I ended up going to a freestanding emergency center nearby where I was taken back to a room immediately and received excellent, professional care. This hospital's front-desk staff is incredibly unprofessional, disrespectful, and completely desensitized to human suffering. Avoid this place at all costs if you value your health.

I have MS but…read moredue to the physical challenge of getting to his office I reluctantly had to switch to home health care. After three months I canceled. Nobody compares to Dr. Rotella. I'm back with the doctor who cares about me as a person, who treats me like family. I emailed him yesterday and said that even though it will be difficult physically, I want to come home. That evening, long after office hours Dr. Rotella wrote back: "We will always be here for you, and I will take care of you." That's indicative of his patient care. I heartily recommend him and his Scottsdale Medical Care practice. Not only is he an extraordinary physician, recently he had the foresight to open an adjacent office called Prevene (as in preventative medicine) where patients learn more about their body than they ever thought possible using state-of-the-art scanners. Now, his annual physicals are full-body scans-and they are covered by insurance. Can you beat that? Dr. Terry Martin - Scottsdale,AZ.

They are changing the way going to the doctor is and really should be. You are never rushed when you go here. Yes!! You heard that correctly...not rushed. I go to Doctor Kathryn DiGiammarino and she is excellent. My favorite feature is that I can text them when I need something and always get a response during office hours. Highly recommend this practice for anyone who's needing a great doctor, and something outside of the ordinary.

My Dignity Chandler experience in the observation area was horrible. the cubicles resemble cells…read more The ac froze me all night. Earlier staff were heard saying "68 is plenty warm for them ". This unit temp is centrally controlled at the nursing station. The ac vent for my cubicle was directly above my bed. I was admitted with pneumonia and sepsis. Cold air pouring down on my chest and very arthretic joints caused me unrelieved pain all night. I had on a hoodie and a fleece robe over my hospital gown. Staff brought heated thin blankets. They offered brief relief until they cooled down. I complained bitterly all night about the cold. I had the covers pulled up over my nose because even my nose was freezing! When day shift arrived the caregiver told me "I felt bad for you after I got home because you were so cold." She helped me go outside to get warm in the morning AZ sun. Getting warm eased my joint pain considerably. Coming in someone from day shift said to us, "the thermostat is right here. I'll turn it up". I'm sure the night shift considered me a problem patient because I complained bitterly all night about freezing and the cold increasing my arthritis pain. Why they would put up with a complaining cranky patient rather than turn the ac to 70 is beyond me. The nurse told me "we have 20 beds and only 2 bath rooms." They wanted me to use a bedside commode. I am old but ambulate at a quick pace with walker. The only relief I had from my ice box cubicle was walking to the bathroom. For safety they accompanied me. Staff let me know it was a major inconvenience to walk with me to the bathroom. Patients, especially elderly folks, can develop blood clots from not getting. Their convenience and comfort were more important than patients welfare! I have been a patient at Dignity Mercy. I have nothing but good to say about that experience. I was also a patient at This hospital Dignity Chandler for 5 days in June with pneumonia and sepsis. No complaints only praise. Because of this horrible freezing experience and judgemental uncaring night staff in the observation area. I will do everything I can to never come here again. Marlene Hickman

I spent the week in the hospital & went home the following Saturday. Surgery went GREAT! My neurosurgeon, Dr. Jay Turner, is awesome. The anesthesiologist made me feel very comfortable prior to the surgery and the pre-op doctor, nurses, office staff were great. My nurses during my stay were great, along with PT, OT, sanitation staff, food services, and all doctors and students that came to see me were pleasant and cared for me and their work. I then had brain surgery at St Joseph's Hospital on 2/10/25, to remove a 3.5 cm tumor. My neurosurgeon, Dr. Andrew Little is awesome! I had complications during the surgery and my brain began swelling. Dr Little had to stop the surgery immediately and make my skull pieces fit back together with my swollen brain. My incision is much larger and the skull fracture much larger and not flat but with a bump. Thankfully I no longer have most side effects. I woke without being able to control my left side and with blurred vision. My speech was difficult and my memory was not good. Within the next 1 to 2 days, most things returned to normal when the swelling of my brain went down. I went home within 5 days. Everyone I interacted with was great! I had a lot of pain but as long as I spoke up when the pain began, I would get relief very quickly. My nurses were very responsive. St Joseph's is a great hospital.
