I should have knew at that moment not to trust him. 1 Ive been in a acc before and I know a guy who does break me off with insurance so I wasn't surprised at that what got me was him pressuring me to take my car he was agreeing to anything my uncle was saying just for me to give him my car. now here I am TWO months later, car still not fixed, insurance stopped paying rental so that's $1445 I'm out of on that and my car STILL have not been fixed. when ever I call to ask about my car they ignore my calls. I literally have to call private just to get through to them. they charged my insurance over 15k for bumper damages. then when I went to go see about my car my whole back window was missing! my car had more damage to it. I'm so angry and hurt cause I just got that car and they playing in my face. they don't care that I have kids and a job. all they care about is their money and scamming insuranc. WE WERE ROBBED. Sorry to have to leave a poor review, but feel that this should be known. We were…read moretravelling on a work trip from out of state when our van broke down. Called Adams. They were great about responding, showing up in under an hour, and towing our van directly to the work site which was approx. a 45 minute tow. That is when the experience went sour. The driver demanded payment of $1,500. CASH. He would not unhook the van until paid. After we haggled and argued for 20-30 minutes, one push of the "dial" away from calling 911, he agreed to drop the fee to $1,000 CASH. We had NO choice as it was night time, we were now late to start the job, and had two of our contractors waiting for the van and it's belongings. We paid $500. cash, and one of the contractors had to Venmo the other $500. WE BASICALLY GOT ROBBED! Only reason we didnt call the police is that it was our mistake for not asking how much the tow would cost ahead of time. So, this guy just saw our desperation and completely took advantage of the situation. NOT sure that Adams Towing even knows about this? Tow truck driver may have even been the owner, not sure... Hopefully NOT! As this was disgraceful. We were expecting to pay maybe $500. which we feel would have been fair.... shame on us for trusting and not asking for a price first, but SHAME ON THIS GUY for taking advantage and demanding $1,500. CASH!!!!
