We hired Mayflower last winter for snow plowing. They never came out to stake our driveway, plowed only twice the whole season. They were unreachable by phone, didn't answer emails. When they did come to plow, the driver literally made one pass down the driveway. I can't get my $700 back, but I can make sure no one else gets taken. Worst service vendor I have ever used. Do not recommend, run away screaming from these guys. read more

My organization, Cleveland Neighborhood Progress, is extremely unhappy with Mayflower Landscaping LLC's snow services. There's no follow-through, and the owner is not responsive. Quality was already an issue, but not even coming out and plowing is entirely unacceptable. We had a major snowstorm, but it takes them days later (if they even come) to plow the lot and shovel the sidewalks. As I write this review, we're still waiting for them to come out and plow. We understand you're a small business, but you have an obligation to fulfill your contract. Until our situation is resolved, this review will remain. read more

You Are Better off Not Doing the Project rather than hiring these guys. Save yourselves some headache and look for an alternative. We hired them for grading, grass install and fixing our walkway. Total cost of the project $2200. We gave them half upfront and boy was that a mistake. Instead of topsoil they put soil with bricks and big stones. Had the soil dropped on our driveway and chipped our driveway with their machine. Put the soil over sprinkler system despite showing them exact location of the sprinkler heads. Walkway was another story... they did not know how to do it and left it in a worse condition than before. Did not complete the job. Multiple postponements. Sorry but these guys are unreliable and you are better off looking elsewhere. read more

Owner of the company seemed professional after we initially meet to receive a estimate/quote for work. Was highly disappointed to experience and communication with company. After a week of weather delays which they were decent enough to communicate about, after coming home from work I noticed they had been on my property without notice to find out they damaged retaining wall, as well as my neighbors property. I immediately called owners cell phone requesting a call to talk about a few issues. The following day workers showed up to my property to resume work. I advised them that request to speak w owner first to resolve issues/problem before any further work was to resume. Workers still proceeded to continue to try and work without proper guidance and not in accordance to the scope of work that I had agreed to per estimate and conversations w owner himself. After many attempts to contact and communicate with owner to resolve issues, I was emailed by office that he would personally come out sat morning @ 9:30 am, Owner has not attempted to call me back and did not show all day even after I called office and they said he was running behind. read more

Terrible, Sloppy, Not Professional, Huge Mistake & they make you pay the card processing fees I am a guy who has hired a lot of service providers in my time - and Mayflower Landscaping has been the absolute worse experience by far. The work was sloppy, incomplete and unprofessional. In fact, they actually made my landscaping look worse after they were done. The attitude of the people in charge was awful, unprofessional and probably the reason why their workers didn't care at all. They may come in cheaper than the rest with their quote - but don't bite. They will try to tack on more charges as they go along, all the while doing a terrible job. I ended up having to pay another company to fix Mayflower Landscaping's terrible work. The only thing they were efficient and good at was quoting and taking deposits. They were very good and efficient with that and gave the wrong impression that they would be efficient and professional throughout the job. Unfortunately, their efficiency stopped after they collected their deposit. Please note that when you pay by credit card, the credit card company charges them and they pass it on to you. So, the charge on your card will be higher than the actual invoice. I ended up paying around $20 additional for the deposit and then an additional $20 for the final payment. By the way, their site says their owner is Kenneth Stanley - I suspect he doesn't exist. read more

If I could rate them zero, I would definitely do!!! We are selling our house as we are moving out of the town. Nobody is at home regularly. So we hired Mayflower Landscaping for lawn service. The service was scheduled weekly ($80 per week). After over a month, my wife came back for the weekend to check the house. Big surprise when she saw the lawn: the lawn was out growing!!! It looks like that the lawn has not be mowed for a few weeks. We are very disappointed, especially that the house was listed for sale. Mayflower Landscaping company definitely can NOT be trusted!!! We hired Mayflower based on their reviews *IN MARCH* to help fix our yard after being left high and dry by another local landscaper and we're having the exact same experience as before with no shows! All we want is someone to tell us when the work we already paid for will be completed and actually show up to complete it. We've been totally patient and completely understand weather and that landscaping companies are busy in the summer. But it's been 4 months. We were most recently told our work will be completed last Saturday and they never showed. They don't respond to our emails or texts either. I answered an ad for Mayflower landscaping and called to get an appointment for an estimate they texted me back told me they had a time and I told him at that time wasn't good and they came back text me again and set up another appointment with me which was 4 to 7 PM at night which I waited for that day till 730 texted them back said yeah nobody showed nobody called called them on a Saturday or a Friday and she's texted me a manager would be here the following morning 1st thing! We contracted this company for tree pruning. They gave us an estimate that seemed agreeable. We wanted trees trimmed back along the driveway and fruit trees pruned I. The back part of our property. I was initially concerned at the length of time that it took for them to get back to us with a time when they would be out to do the work. I was more concerned when they showed up at 4:30 on a Saturday with only 90 minutes of daylight left to complete what would be several hours of work. They also began trimming branches with a hedge trimmer. I asked the workman if he had heavier equipment. He said he did. He also said that they would be back when he had more daylight. Great. They showed up on Wednesday with no notice and no explanation about the delay. They did not finish and left a huge mess. We tried calling and texting. No response. They finally showed up this past Saturday at 4:15! It got dark fast. I asked the workman to fix the hacked branches that they said was pruning. I also asked that they clean up the debris. Today is Sunday. Most of the debris is still here and most of the trees are not pruned. I do not think they know anything about trees. I also think the fact that the same workman called today (Sunday) to say he was in his way when we had no reason to expect him is ridiculous. When they are done--if they ever get done--I will be amazed. This is poor business and they have done a horrible job with the tress. I would not recommend. The customer service for this company doesn't exist. I wish they had just said they know nothing about trees. It appears that they just started breaking branches on the fruit trees rather than cutting them. Why? read more
