Lively, but not loud. We had a nice chat with our server, Flavia, who turned out to be the "boss's (Fabio Pezzoli) daughter", and a delightful young woman! Fabio sent out a complimentary bruschetta for us to enjoy with our wine as we settled in. After hearing the specials and scouring the menu we ordered a pizza and a house made fettuccine with a creamy parmesan black pepper truffle sauce. Served with sliced truffles, it was a superb dish! I can honestly say that it was one of the best pasta dishes in recent memory! The pizza was thin, crispy and delicious. We thoroughly enjoyed it. For dessert, I enjoyed an espresso and a perfect panna cotta. Caroline simply enjoyed her wine. We closed the restaurant after visiting with Fabio and his friend, a well-known local writer Erik Fosnes Hansen. The only seating consists of two barstools and a small counter, so not a place to hold a wedding or eat dinner. This is meant for take-out and maybe a slice on the go but, while I was there, there were no premade slices. I ordered a Roma which was made with ground beef, pepperoni, onions and gargonzola cheese atop marinara sauce and under a light coat of mozzerella. The meats, cheese and sauce were standard fare but the dough was quite good with crispy, sweet crust. With all the food options and leftovers from other restaurants which I preferred, I was not to be back during my visit. I am sorry to say that this pizzeria was just average to me. Mind you I had only one pie, I am American (we have stellar pizza) and others in the neighborhood do seem loyal.
