We booked our appointment online and upon arrival, Kinik warmly greeted us. The atmosphere was immediately relaxing, and the entire staff was excellent! We indulged in a 90-minute couples massage followed by a full-body top-to-toe clay treatment, including their specialized Mayan clay face and hair therapy. Afterward, we enjoyed their luxurious hot shower. It was an amazing experience; my skin felt incredibly soft and rejuvenated. The premises are absolutely stunning--we were so impressed that we asked if we could schedule a photo shoot there the next day. Special thanks to Kinik for graciously allowing us to photograph. A spiritual, life-changing experience, and well worth the investment at the PRIVATE VILLA MACARIO GÓMEZ JUNGLE LOCATION! My wife and I loved the three-hour spa experience plus one-hour massage - it was nothing short of magical. A truly spiritual journey in a private enclave. Neither of us felt that any vacation experience that we have ever had could be more emotionally bonding. And the two ladies/therapists that guided us through all of our treatments were amazing! You are led by your guides/therapists through a large private villa (in the jungle 25 km west of Tulum) to a large private room with a bed, sitting area and a bathroom with a shower, and asked to put on a towel (a bathing suit is optional and really not recommended for any of the treatments) - we chose to go sans suits and, as the therapies progressed, sans towels. Then led to a gorgeous pool, and throughout the session rubbed with salt and clay (and later oil if you request the additional massage), showered. saunaed and immersed. All the while you will be surrounded by nature, with dappled sun through the trees, all to the ever-changing sounds of birds, frogs and then crickets(?). Then the amazing (optional) oil massage. Walking around without a stitch on in the jungle garden and enjoying these spa treatments with someone you love was, as my wife said, life-changing (and in retrospect, a little biblical!). All we needed to do was avoid the apple (in our case, the clock) :). But we only had four hours! And our hosts were literally fantastic. Warm, nurturing and gave us the best massages we've ever had. One of my friends suggested we go here so we decided to go on our very first day in Tulum. We did a 90-minute couple's massage. The ambiance is perfection (on the jungle side, and you have your own little hut and they burn copal which smells AMAZING). The massage was good but definitely be specific about what you want (because they'll do it). My skin felt soooo silky smoothy after the clay!! A few things to note: -They require you to pay half in advance -Bring your own products for showering (especially shampoo or conditioner) I do wish they sold the copal and they were out of the natural mosquito repellant as well (we sampled some). Definitely a nice little unique spa experience while on vacay. read more

My wife wanted to go to the spa at our hotel in Tulum and I decided to do a little research on local spas to see if there were better options.... I found Mayan Clay and decided to reach out about their services... they offered a 4 hr long treatment that wasn't much more $ than a 1.5 hour massage at our hotel.... This day Spa treatment at the Mayan Clay Jungle Bathhouse was without a doubt the highlight of our trip! For just over $300 per person we had the entire jungle retreat campus to ourselves! We were greeted at the front gate and from that moment on for the next 4 hrs we were pampered in an amazing environment... we were guided by our awesome hostesses, who were carrying a large chalice of cleansing incense at all times, from private changing chambers to one treatment after another! Cenote water pool, sea salt and rosemary scrub, coconut massage, Mayan clay pool, warm wash, papaya massage, sauna, cenote pool, hot jacuzzi with fresh pineapple and hot tea, then another 1 hour massage.... The women were amazing... we were completely nude (with comfy cotton towels) and alone with them the entire time! It was incredible... and so so so relaxing. My partner and I went for a couples full body clay massage. As soon as we got there we were greeted by a extremely friendly crew. We were guided to our rooms which were spread around a forestal area. The masseuses were super nice. Before they began asked us what areas we needed more pressure to be applied. Once started, I could sense my masseuse noticing the areas that needed more pressure. She really took the time to work on those areas and really was able to make those certain areas feel completely better. The clay which was applied from head to toe was warm and felt amazing. At the end of our massages we were escorted to a private shower area where we washed off all of the clay. All in all this place was phenomenal and totally worth the price. read more

Definitely don't regret it! Honestly, the hair part of the massage I think dried out my hair, which is why I would only give the place 4 stars vs 5. However, other than that, the masseuse was amazing! She listened to where I wanted the most attention/where I had the most tightness, and she used the amount of pressure I was looking for. Typically, I like my massages very intense because I powerlift and have a lot of tightness in my body, and the masseuse did exactly that!
