This place had so much potential but ended up being such a big disappointment. The first impression of this place was that the management of the restaurant was a mess. We had to stand in the middle of their lounge for a few minutes before we were even given the time of day. The concierge at American Express had booked us to this restaurant a few days prior to our visit, yet they claimed they couldn't find our reservation. However, they said they would find a table for us and they did. In the end, I asked the host and he said he finally found our reservation but that was after putting us through kind of an annoying hoop of feeling like an inconvenience.
We were seated rather quickly after that and ordered a variety of the food items. At first look, the prices are higher compared to for instance Yuc but they don't hold the same quality or taste. We ordered the sweet potato fries with guacamole dip, a pork taco, a brisket taco and a seared tuna taco. The sweet potato fries were flavorful and fried to perfection and the guacamole was one of the best ones I've had so far. I wasn't a big fan of the pork taco but my girlfriend loved it, whereas we both agreed that the seared tuna lacked flavor and was very bland. The brisket was the star of the meal for me and I definitely recommend it.
So why the 2 stars? The service here is awful. They are understaffed, unorganized and the staff seem to be allergic to cracking a smile. Come on, lighten up. The service is simply not attentive nor friendly. The food is literally the definition of subpar and with few exceptions, I'd describe our experience here as extremely "meh" and the food to generally be bland. This place also closes at 10 pm on a Saturday which is an odd choice for a place trying to become the new "it"-place for Mexican food in Stockholm.
Oh, and they don't take AMEX. I'd recommend taking a pass on this place. read more
