La Neta is a great place to go for some authentic Mexican food in the heart of Stockholm. The prices are reasonable, and the portions are good. The self serve salsa bar is a great touch, and the environment is fun and festive. The food is flavorful and well-prepared. Overall, La Neta is a great choice for a casual night out with friends.

Long live Taco Tuesday! So, this spot is super divey and lowkey. I was told that the owners want to make it feel like you are in Mexico. They succeeded! It definitely has that old country Mexican vibe. You walk down some stairs and pass a window to where you can order. They have all sorts of tacos. They even have corn tortillas! And, they double up on them! Anyway, they have the usual meats, but when I went, they were sold out of everything except the al pastor. I just ordered that. You can order single tacos or five. You'll get a buzzer once you place your order. Drinks are served straightaway. Seating, you will find, is rather difficult to come by. There are only three tables and counter seating that is always packed. The smaller table can seat five or so and the longer tables are communal-style. No worries, as everyone is friends here. Haha. Not really, but whatevs. There is an area that has cups and water pitchers to quench your thirst or put out the fire that the salsas cause. Beside the water, you'll find a buffet server that usually has rice in it. Beside all of that, you'll find the fixings to top your tacos like onion, cilantro (coriander), and various salsas. The tacos are served with grilled pineapple. You may think it odd, but it is quite delicious. I will warn you though...go for the green salsa if you cannot stand the heat. Green means go and red means no! There is a joke about Sweden being the land that lacks spice, but La Neta has definitely got the spice spotlight shining on them. Why are you still reading this? Go grab a taco!

La Neta was highly recommended so had to try it while visiting Stockholm. For those traveling from the US this spot is good enough, the Tacos were good but not great, had better back home in New York. This venue is clean, has 2 rooms for seating by benches all along the walls or a long center table, can accommodate 2-3 friends during lunch or dinner time without issue, more if not too busy (+1 star) All the beef tacos were good, nice flavors (+1 star) The pork lacked flavor (-1 star) The corn tortillas were slightly cold (-1 star) Friendly staff, this is a Self service style spot, you order food and get a buzzer to pick up while you find seats at a table or bench, once you pickup food add your own salsas picante/chopped onions/cilantro at the counter. They have some good Mexican beers such as Pacifico Clara, Negra Modelo and Coronas, I tried La Sirenita and liked it alot (+1 star) Will give it another try next time I'm in town see if better.

Amigos por siempre! That's other Spanish word that I know, other than tacos . So far, this is the best place to get tacos in Stockholm. Luckily, it's nearby my workplace. Today's lunch is your favorite, amigos. Trust me. If you're a "big", you might consider eating there, so you can refill your rice

La Neta exceeded my expectations!! Since arriving in Europe I have been craving authentic Mexican street tacos, and my wishes were most definitely fulfilled at La Neta! I had three different tacos (I'm honestly not too sure which ones they were) but they were so great! The tacos were filled with lots of meat and had lots of great spices and flavours in them. My favourite part of the whole experience was that you could add as much cilantro and different salsas as you want to help enhance your tacos! It was awesome! Give this place a try!!!

I like this place! Not too pricey, really tasty and really nice. I love it that you can add as much cilantro as you like to your tacos. On the other hand, they have plastic water cups which I'm not a fan of, and the plates squeak a lot. A nice place to bring a date!

Always looking for authentic mexican joints wherever I go, since its one of the cousine that suffers most from unauthentic and bad quality outside of Mexico. La Neta surprised me. Real cantina style, bare, few Menu items, raw authentic good tacos, no fuss, no more fillings than meat, selve serve toppings, wow. Blew my mind, real no fuss food. Top 3 in Europe for authenticity, that I know of. Go try it!

Waiting for our food. This is where the toppings and water are located.

We went in and were a bit confused on how everything worked. We went to the register to order. We each got 5 tacos. They only had two options of meat even though their menu said otherwise. We received a buzzer that would tell us when our food was ready. For water we grabbed cups and there were pitchers on a counter. Along with the pitchers, there were 3 different types of sauce for the sauces but they weren't labeled so I had no idea which was spicy or not. I just went for it though. The tacos were pretty good the guacamole was okay but overall a decent meal.

Entering La Neta is like taking a step into another country: México! The colors on walls, chairs, plates; the friendly staff. I just miss some aguas frescas or I'd be convinced that I'd been "transmogrified"! Their lunch specials with two tacos and rice plus a soda or coffee were tasty and filling. If you're accustomed to the Mexican spiciness you may be bit disappointed since their tacos are very flavorful but not spicy. There are salsas, onion and cilantro available if you want to add some spice and additional flavor.

The place seams to be quite popular and we walked there because of the great reviews. The tiny place is underground like a cave. It is super damp inside. The staff is relatively nice specially because I speak Spanish but they first don't have an English menu or any where to see sizes and in fact what it's inside of the tacos. Once we ordered half of the menu since we didn't know what they had and the man at the cashier was loosing his patience. We ended up with a massive order who everyone looked at us like mad people. The tortillas were frozen, the meat was over cooked and tbh I don't know what they were gushing about. It is an OK place, cute Scandinavian style, far from Mexican.

Not very fast service, many times you need to clean the table yourself & make some space!

I got the tips from a Mexican & a Chilean friend about this restaurant & I didn't really think the taco was so special so I asked them do you really think this is that good? They also said not good but genuine! And that is true, I mean that's how simple a taco place is supposed to be & prices are the most reasonable in the whole Stockholm but the place is too boring & smelly and you just wanna get out of there as soon as you eat. The taco itself is not so flavorful either but I guess that's how the genuine taco is supposed to be. It also gets very crowded and the crowd is mostly very young people. Oh and last but not least don't expect any hygiene there I think last time they washed those sauce bowls & wiped those tables was 2010! Try their Mexican beer, really good!

    The mixed taco plate. 100SEK

This was probably my least favorite meal during my stay in Stockholm. I got there and was very excited, it was busy and smelled really good. After translating the menu on my phone I decided to order the mixed taco plate for 100 SEK. It came out and looked pretty promising. 5 corn tortillas 3 with beef and 2 with the pork and pineapple. It was all downhill from there. My suggestion is to grab a fork and knife, because you can't even pick them up without them falling apart, that's how greasy they were. I left and my mouth was just coated in grease, yuck! The plus side is that the staff was pretty nice and I liked the topping bar. I would say this place is great if you've never had Mexican food before.

The food was ok , it wasn't the best tacos that I've hard my fiancé thought they were good .
    Takeyha T.

The staff was friendly but the taco were just ok , they weren't nothing special . The beef taste as if the meat was boiled and it wasn't as flavorful as I expected.

We had to stand in the middle of their lounge for a few minutes before we were even given the time of day. The concierge at American Express had booked us to this restaurant a few days prior to our visit, yet they claimed they couldn't find our reservation. However, they said they would find a table for us and they did. In the end, I asked the host and he said he finally found our reservation but that was after putting us through kind of an annoying hoop of feeling like an inconvenience. We were seated rather quickly after that and ordered a variety of the food items. At first look, the prices are higher compared to for instance Yuc but they don't hold the same quality or taste. We ordered the sweet potato fries with guacamole dip, a pork taco, a brisket taco and a seared tuna taco. The sweet potato fries were flavorful and fried to perfection and the guacamole was one of the best ones I've had so far. I wasn't a big fan of the pork taco but my girlfriend loved it, whereas we both agreed that the seared tuna lacked flavor and was very bland. The brisket was the star of the meal for me and I definitely recommend it. So why the 2 stars? The service here is awful. They are understaffed, unorganized and the staff seem to be allergic to cracking a smile. Come on, lighten up. The service is simply not attentive nor friendly. The food is literally the definition of subpar and with few exceptions, I'd describe our experience here as extremely "meh" and the food to generally be bland. This place also closes at 10 pm on a Saturday which is an odd choice for a place trying to become the new "it"-place for Mexican food in Stockholm. Oh, and they don't take AMEX. I'd recommend taking a pass on this place.
