I honestly could not recommend Maya enough. She did my hair and makeup for my wedding, as well as my sister-in-law/officiant's hair and we were both beyond happy. Maya traveled to the South Bay for my consultation and the East Bay for my wedding and had everything prepared and organized so after a quick set up she was ready to go. I had a pretty good idea about what I wanted for my hair, but as someone who wears very little make up I was not sure how to articulate what kind of look I wanted. Maya knew exactly what to do, starting with a baseline look and sort of "working up" from there. In the end, she had me looking better than I could have imagined! Beyond creating a great look, she also did a fantastic job giving me a look that lasted all day. I have very long hair, but she secured my up-do perfectly so that it looked flawless throughout the night and did not feel bulky or heavy in the slightest. I should also mention that everyone thought it was a MIRACLE I was able to wear all of my hair up, considering how long it was at the time. My make-up and false eyelashes kept perfectly as well, and she armed me with a mini touch-up set for my lip color. Absolutely loved working with Maya. I have modeling experience so I knew I wanted someone that knows how to do makeup and have it look good in photoshoots and weddings. That's a big deal, when I reached out to Maya, she was extremely kind and flexible with how many times I changed my trial appointment. She came to my place for my trial and she did a beautiful job. My original makeup artist canceled on me two weeks before my wedding which sent me scrambling for a replacement. I emailed several artists including Maya and she was quick to respond. I was excited to hear that not only was she available but her prices were VERY reasonable! (Most were either already booked or WAY out of my budget!) I've never had my makeup done professionally before and she answered all my questions about her products and techniques. My biggest concern was staying power. We were doing a "first look" at 10:30 that morning and the wedding wasn't until 4:30 so I really wanted to make sure it could last all day. She assured me that it could & would.
