Pollo a la placha, plantains, rice
Lauren N.

I love this place it's right next to my work. It's a staple for authentic Mexican food. Everything taste fresh, my favorite is their house salad with chicken. But recently I had their pollo a la plancha and it's so tasty! I also love how they play Spanish music in the background.

FAVE MEXICAN Restaurant in Homestead! If you are in the area check this place out. Great for families, kids. Los jugos naturales son muy buenos y los tacos son los mejores !

Carne Asada Burrito

I chose this restaurant based on the reviews on yelp. The food was amazing, I had carnitas, al pastor and carne Asada tacos, everything was fresh and authentic. My sister had the enchiladas Suizas with chicken and my husband had the carne Asada burrito, both were fantastic. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and can't wait to go back again.

Huevos a la Mexicana (Scrambled eggs, Mexican style with rice & beans.)

This place looks, feels, smells, sounds, and tastes authentic. I have spent three years living in Central America and this is as authentic as it gets. The staff spoke very limited English, but were friendly and understanding of this gringo in Homestead. The menu is mainly in Spanish, with some non-descriptive English subtitles. Study up on your Mexican menu items, review their menu linked on yelp, and step outside your comfort zone if you are an anglo. My first visit was for a weekday lunch - around 10. I was the only customer. I had the Huevos a la Mexicana which was a FULL plate with eggs scrambled Mexican style with green peppers and onions, rice, re-fried beans and goat cheese. Delicious it took me so long to eat this plate that the lunch crowd started to come in before I finished. I was in disbelief that there was so much quality cooked food for $7.50. I came back a week later with my family in tow for dinner. Outer building is lit up decoratively giving it the best face possible in a strip mall. The inside was appropriately lit for a dinner meal and the restaurant had more people, but not crowded or noisy. We had a variety of dinner plates, which were all delicious with generous servings. Recommended for: That obligatory trip to Homestead for Mexican food. An adventurous date. Central Americans / Mexicanos longing for homestyle cooking.

Super clean and nice service

My thoughts are two fold: they have some very sweet servers here who are as hospitable as they get combined with a restaurant that is nearly spotless. I really enjoyed my meal at this Mexican restaurant. Tacos de carne asada were seasoned very nicely, the house chips come served nacho style which was different but great and the guacamole was fresh and savory. They have a small bar with all the fresh fixings you could want to put on your dish. I emphasize FRESH because it was immaculate and vibrant: fresh chopped onions, cilantro, tomatoes, limes, pico de gallo, and more. Driving through Homestead on our way to the Keys and the family all agreed on tacos for lunch and we all left satisfied. I recommend this place if you want your authentic taco fix.

Great tacos, caldo de res, and menudo. The best i've had in Homestead, after trying 9 other places. Tiny and friendly.

Great cheap restaurant. Menudo and quesadilla are amazing. Home made tortillas and free desert. Enchiladas were alright.

I'm not going to lie the food has always been good, which is why we kept coming back despite the drive. The waitresses know us by now. It's always me, my mom, and my husband, and if one of the three of us is missing they actually ask where the other person is. That's how regular we are. Because it's a long drive for us, we usually bring a small lunch box with water bottles and Coke Zero for the trip. Today, under the guise of offering us ice for our lunch box, our waitress opened our lunch box, looked through it, and then shook her head at someone else like she was signaling "no, not here." We were honestly stunned. We paid and as we were leaving I told her, "If you wanted to check my lunch box for alcohol, you could have just asked." She immediately started saying "No, no, I was just curious because I want to start driving around with one too," and I told her flat out, "No you weren't." If I wanted to get drunk, I certainly wouldn't pick this place to do it. I have honestly never felt so disrespected. TSA doesn't even go through my bags like that. The rose-colored glasses are officially off. Again, the food is good, but I'm also not blind to the fact that this is a hot trailer on the side of Krome where you're constantly fighting flies around your food while you eat. There are plenty of Mexican restaurants where I can order a Coke Zero in air conditioning, or I can find another food truck, they're a dime a dozen.

I would describe the restaurant as 'casual mexican'. Ample seating inside, clean and with festive decor. The food was good. We started with a 'Queso Fundido' appetizer which we added Mexican Chorizo to. The family gobbled it up before I could take pics! Chips and Salsa kept coming out as needed at no charge. They had a pretty good selection of popular Mexican beers: Modelo on tap, Corona & Dos Equis in bottles. They serve Margaritas (maybe wine-based liquor) but my wife said it was good. The food selection is very good and everyone liked what they ordered. Lots of Enchiladas, Taquitos, Salad options as well as Tacos, Burritos, Chimichangas, etc... I had the Chile Relleno (which they offer stuffed with cheese, chicken or beef. It was good. We discussed not orser dessert. Food was good. Prices were reasonable $15-$20/entree and Service was Excellent! Our waiter came by often to check on us and everything we requested came out quickly. Good experience. I would recommend!

The waitress told us to sit wherever we wanted to. She brought us a basket of chips and salsa. I ordered the Trio Trepa. I wanted it with shrimp, but the waitress said they can't do shrimp for it. So I did it with chicken instead. My daughter ordered the chicken tenders and French fries. My plate was huge! It turned into three or four meals! My daughter ate all of her chicken tenders except some of the breading. They were a little overly breaded. I like the condiment bar. But only one person can serve themselves at a time there and there was a guy up there when I got my food and I wanted to go up and add some toppings to my plate. He was filling up about 8 little cups and just looking around. After waiting a few minutes I asked him if he was done since he was just looking. He said he wasn't, but He let me in to grab my stuff.
