Chicken Satay with Peanut Sauce (a tad spicy - so good)

Absolutely incredible experience at this new Thai restaurant in Crystal Lake. The owner was WONDERFUL. We had the best conversation and you can tell immediately she has a desire for fresh ingredients, quality, and service. My husband and I went there as we saw them on Yelp and Google with all 5 star reviews and were like, um, these are either "bot" reviews or this place is legit. Ya'll - this place is LEGIT. They are still in their "soft launch" phase as their grand opening is the second week of August. The food, honestly, is some of the best Thai food I've ever had. The only place that I can say goes toe to toe with them is Alt Thai in Arlington Heights. We got the Yellow curry with chicken and this crispy garlic chicken dish along with the chicken satay appetizer and mango sticky rice for dessert. ALL of the food was absolutely fantastic (we got both main dishes at a level 3 out of 5 for spicy and it was perfect for us (may be a tad spicy for some). The Thai Iced Tea was one of if not the best I've ever had. It actually tasted like cake (I know that sounds weird, but you have to try it lol). The owner said they were going to continue to add seasonal dishes throughout the year (like pineapple curry in August and pumpkin curry in September). They are also going to add my favorite dish, massaman curry very soon as well. Others like crab fried rice, etc. are also on the way. They make everything to order so expect a short wait (no batch cooking here). She also mentioned they will be adding Thai cooking classes as well. The place was spotless and I could go on and on. Just go there and support this amazing small business! 5/5 stars for sure!

We ordered way more than normal.. partially because it was our first time.. but also bc the portions were a bit small. The prices were lower than most but so were the portions. So fair. Zaab House Noodle Beef (6/10) - was different. Not my favorite but it was unique! Had to get bc it was the 'Zaab house'! Pad sew Chicken (8/10) - Standard fare. Good. Mainly got it for the kids. Mixed reviews by kids using collard greens instead of the familiar brocolli. Pad ped Catfish (fried) (7/10) - Not what we expected. Good but portion was too small. Also a note for all, this is Thai eggplant, not the purple one you might expect. Fine with us, but just an fyi. Shrimp Roll (5/10) - It was good, but was so small. Description said stuffed with bunch of stuff... but it was basically shrimp wrapped in eggroll wrap. Green Curry Tofu (8/10) - positive was there was a lot of tofu in there! Pad Thai Beef (10/10) - star of the night. You make it the way I like it. Wet, saucy, flavorful. Yes please. Glad to see you are doing well. Can always use more Asian food around here! May not order some of these again but with your big menu, happy to try out more in the future!

The curry was flavorful, packed with veggies and chicken, and paired so nicely with the fluffy white rice. We also got the pad woon sen, and it had a nice wok hei flavor; the noodles were bouncy and paired well with the hot sauce on the table as well. Lastly, we got the mango sticky rice for dessert, and they give you SO MANY MANGOES. The rice was sweet, and you had enough mangoes to pair it with every single bite of rice. The service was good; they always made sure to check in on us and even brought us extra plates to let us share our dishes. The only con I have is that I asked for potatoes in my curry, but I didn't know it'd be a dollar extra. It's not a big deal, but I'd love to know when I ask. The ambiance was very Thai themed, and they had a lot of awards for their restaurant. It also caught my eye that they won a food bracket tournament with other restaurants I have heard of as well. There's also a large parking lot and lots of seats if you want to dine in. I also noticed a large amount of takeout orders, so you can tell this place is very popular.

When I asked for a more authentic recipe I wasn't expecting them to just add more sauce. Just completely lazy imo. If you're looking for a bleached version of Thai food. This place is it. While all the dishes have Thai names. It's just typical American food dressed up as "Thai" They recently raised the prices and for the slop they serve you. Not worth it.
