May Street Church from the outside looks like something from the Ancient Greece with its huge pillars but in truth this place could not be more hip and happening about Christianity and it is certainly a breath of fresh air right in the centre of the city.
The ethos of the church is to engage with the community including the Spiritual, Economic, Social and Cultural renewal of Belfast City. May Street Church has been established for over 180 years. Unlike many other City centre churches, May Street has survived not only World War II, but also the Troubles of Belfast, and remains in thoroughly original condition.
May Street Church has some very unique features. It has an adjoining café (The Urban Soul Café) an Economic forum and Podcasts available to download for free from their website. May Street Church holds its main Presbyterian Services on Sundays and Thursdays with a few afternoon tea's and coffee mornings thrown in-between. read more
